Meet Andujar Michelle born about February 2020. Andujar Michelle was part of a large rescue of over 35 cats and dogs. Their caregiver was an avid animal lover who sadly suffered from mental illness and ended up taking her own life. It was quickly obvious to us that she poured a lot of love into her pets. We couldn`t let them all go to the shelter so we were able to get them all into foster care!Andujar is a very sweet and quiet boy who wags his tail like a dog and loves to play. His favorite toys are stuffed catnip mice and the tunnel. He enjoys leaving the mice scattered about the house, tearing open the tummies, running through the tunnel with the mice, and leaving them in the water bowl to make catnip tea. He loves to be petted, but is shy at first and needs time to adjust. He likes to be in the room with you and next to you, but not on you. He is not a picky eater, and enjoys dry and wet cat food, not so much treats. He gets along well with other cats, usually being the less dominant cat. He does well around dogs, almost automatically unfazed by his foster’s dog. So, he’s be fine with another friendly pet. He would do well in a house with other cats, but also in a house where he is the only cat, because he usually plays alone with his mice. He enjoys sunbathing on the sun porch. Andujar is also quite the night owl, usually sleeping most of the day, and playing all night. He is litter box trained and very sweet. Meet Luna Del Ray, a beautiful Russian Blue Mix, born approx 2019. Luna was left at a shelter after her owner said she had stopped eating. Her fur was matted, and she had been neglected. After a proper grooming and dental cleaning, she has blossomed into a sweet, confident princess! Luna is now looking for a true forever home! If you are looking for a smart, affectionate, and playful kitty, Luna is your girl! She loves people and is very outgoing. When you get home, she will greet you with her raspy meow, rub on your legs, and then lay right next to you while you watch tv. Luna’s three favorite things, besides people, are catnip toys, cat trees, and drips from the bathtub. She loves being petted and is a great biscuit maker! Luna is excellent at using scratching posts and scratch pads, and her gentle spirit makes her a great fit for families. She would be fine in a home with a calm cat or dog with proper introductions. Meet Juniper, a Dilute Tortoiseshell, born in 2012. Her original family moved to Europe and were not going to take her with them, so she is looking for a new home.Juniper is a smaller cat with a lot of personality! Her striking appearance is all thanks to the beautiful gray coat, big fuzzy ears, big feet, and striking eyes. She is very people friendly, dog unfazed but very cat selective so slow proper introductions are a must. Juniper is a total snuggle bug with a lot to say! She loves to eat and will tell you about it so you won`t forget Her ears wiggle when she eats. She is a great supervisor, and loves her naps and lap time. Her giant feet can be heard across the house as she thunks with each step. To top it all o*- she is very concerned with her humans getting cold and will bring you socks, pants, and shirts, yowling proudly to announce her good deed! Meet Gracie Anne! Gracie is a beautiful Russian Blue mix born in December 2022. Gracie was discovered in a soda box at a park in Dallas after being hit by a car. She was in rough shape, but now she is all healed up and ready for a forever home where she can be the center of attention. Gracie was not ear-tipped, but the tip of her ear did fall off as a result of her injuries. She is slowly regrowing the fur where it was shaved for her leg to be reconstructed.Gracie is a cuddly cat who loves to eat. She is very gentle with other cats and kittens. Meet Asiago! This little Russian Blue mix born March 25th 2024 has all the earmarks of being a strapping big boy. He has giant paws, a booming purr, and was always the healthiest of his litter. He’ll need to be big to contain his big personality and even bigger heart. This boy is a lover. He loves cuddles (humans or cats!), he loves to play (with humans or cats!), he purrs and licks affectionately (humans or cats!), and he loves to curl up and nap (you guessed it, with humans or cats). He’s a very social boy, very confident with strangers and new territory. He would do best in a home with lots of playmates (ideally cats AND humans, maybe even a dog!) He has excellent litter box manners and is vetted. Asiago is a FIP warrior, which was fatal for cats until recently. We enrolled Asiago in a specialized program, providing him with the necessary treatment. The treatment was extensive, lasting 84 days with medication, vet visits for bloodwork, and another 84 days of observation. Asiago defied the odds is now 100% healthy! Meet Bernard, born mid-May 2024. Bernard came to Saving Hope with his mom Nyxie and four siblings just days after being born.This boy loves to play with his siblings and foster parents, but will also keep himself entertained with a toy or two. When he’s worn out, he’s all too happy to curl up in a lap to rest. He is a fierce hunter of feather toys and enjoys crunchy treats. Bernard has excellent litter box manners.
