Story
This sweet girl was thrown out on my road by the owner. She was near death when she was discovered by my neighbor. I took her to the vet and she is micro-chipped. I called and texted the owner more than 2 months ago and she would not respond, even though she had answered when the vet called initially. This poor girl is the sweetest cat and strikingly beautiful with the characteristics of a Russian Blue. She is currently an outside cat and has a little house with a heated disk to keep her warm at night but she belongs inside where she can be part of a family. She enjoys sitting on the porch and bird watching. She is a gentle and calm girl with lots of love to give. She enjoys a pet on the head and to rub up against your legs. I’m not sure exactly how old she is, I would say between 1-2 years old.

Story
* Chimichanga is a Foster to Adopt kitty! Learn more at https://www.purrpartners.org/adopt/f2a/* Chimichanga is a sponsored kitty! Learn how you can sponsor a kitty in our Sponsor a Cat program at https://www.purrpartners.org/donations/Chimichanga almost lost her life in the shelter because no one knew what was wrong with her. She was doing lots of vomiting and just was not growing, but she loved life, and the shelter did not want to euthanize her, so they contacted us. When we got her, we took her in to our vet to see what was going on, and it was discovered that Chimi has megaesophagus. At the time, she had aspiration pneumonia which can be common with kitties with megaesophagus. However, since those first few weeks, we have gotten this sweet girl on a regimen that has made all the difference in the world for her, and for the past months, she has never developed pneumonia again. Chimi is a sweetheart of a girl with lots of energy, loves toys and playing and loves watching birds and squirrels! She gives kisses and face rubs, and along with the funny esophageal sounds, she has a big purr. She is agile and athletic like any kitten her age, and loves nothing better than attention - unless it's her food!Megaesophagus is a congenital abnormality where the esophagus is greatly distended and pretty much flaccid. There are two types, and through a CAT scan, we found Chimi has the kind that cannot be fixed through surgery. That kind is called a vascular anomaly, and had she had that form, we would have had the surgery. Alas, she has the kind that cannot be surgically repaired. Chimi is a perfectly normal kitten in every way as long as she follows the regimen we have established for her. There are several MUSTS and several MUST NOTS. Seriously, she is very easy to manage- especially if she is the only animal, or even if she is not and the humans are vigilant. The goal is to let gravity help the food move down the esophagus and into her stomach - and then it's all normal from there! The NO-NO's are:1. No dry food ever2. No human food or treats3. No overeating or gorging (even though she would love to!)What must happen:1. Her food is blended into a smoothie that is fed four times a day2. She needs to eat with her head and neck elevated3. She must be held upright for 10-15 minutes after each meal4. Meds are given in her mealsTruly, she is an easy management kitten - so if you think you can do it, we will help you! She deserves a chance and a home like any other kitten, and she is such a sweetheart, we know someone will fall in love because what's not to love?!For more information or to apply to adopt, please go to: https://www.purrpartners.org/adopt/

Story
Sweet and shy, Plinko enjoys being held and cuddled and has a gentle, happy purr for people he trusts. He came from a situation where he wasn’t treated well, and he also had an upper respiratory infection when he came to Purr Partners Feline Rescue. He has long since recovered from the illness, but it may have left him with a weak sense of smell, because he isn’t generally interested in food and needs someone to sit with him and feed him special extra-stinky food several times throughout the day to make sure he is getting enough to eat. We hope that in time he will no longer need this and will be able to eat normally on his own, but we can’t guarantee it.Plinko’s favorite activity is watching birds and squirrels out the window, but he also enjoys rolling a ball around the room, crinkling papers, and pouncing on his cat friends as they walk by. Sometimes he gets the zoomies and races up and down the stairs chasing invisible specks. But mostly he is a quiet and chill kitten. We can’t tell yet whether the quiet is because he is still recovering from being malnourished, or if he is just uncommonly calm for a young male cat. It’s likely he will become more active as his condition continues to improve. After his rough start in life, Plinko is still easily startled by noises and people moving toward him suddenly. He would enjoy a quiet house with other cats and human adults or teens to keep him company. So far he has seemed very nervous around dogs, and it’s possible he had a bad dog experience in his past. For now, he needs an experienced cat person who is home most of the day who can give him 4-5 meals a day spaced out every few hours, though hopefully this won’t be necessary for too long.Plinko gets along well with other friendly cats but isn’t recommended for households with young children or dogs.To meet Plinko and other adoptable Purr Partners kitties at one of our weekend adoptathon events, 1) review our adoption policies at https://www.purrpartners.org/adopt/policies/ and 2) then apply to become a pre-approved adopter today at https://www.purrpartners.org/adopt/cats/For more information or to apply to adopt, please go to: https://www.purrpartners.org/adopt/

Story
Wanted: Cat whisperer of magical proportions to draw this gorgeous girl out of her shell. This girl needs a talented purrson with much patience who can love a girl for her beauty with all of her limitations. This stunning girl does not want pets or treats and is happy to just do her own thing. Her early life experiences have left her traumatized enough that she is afraid to open up and relax, letting someone behind her barriers. She may always be an aloof girl and not want attention and needs a purrson willing to love her anyway. She is stunning and has never uttered a hiss or growl but will run like the dickens or use her back legs to spring off you when you go to sit her down after she trusts you enough for forced snuggles. She is a gentle soul but needs an equally gentle soul to appreciate who she is and what she is able to give . Are you the magical and gentle soul that is meant to be soulmates with this sweet but traumatized girl - the one who can love her even without her being able to show you in conventional ways that she loves you? Story
Hello, my name is Tony. I am a very handsome 3 year old Russian Blue baby with big green eyes. I'm a lover boy who enjoys a good snooze and deep conversations. You can find me in empty boxes or lounging on the bed, sometimes under the covers. I'm a great dinner date because I'm not picky and social with everyone, 2 or 4 feet. I look forward to meeting you soon so we can discuss our future together. I am the sweetest of men - and we should have known from his level of social sweetness with people that he would be a special boy - and he is.  (And as all of you know, FIV ain't no big thing but we do see some of the sweetest cats being positive for it. This is because  they are easy targets for positive unneutered toms outside to attack and transfer it since they are inside cats who are sweet and won't fight. See www.fivcats.com for more info on FIV). It ain't no thing but just makes this boy have a strike against him because people who don't understand it or take the time to read up will overlook this amazing boy. And that is a loss for them because he is ah-may-zing!
