Story
River is a very sweet but takes some time to warm up and trust. He gets along with other kitties. He is in the store but does not show well there. He may need a more quiet home to flourish. He is about 7 months as of December. Can you save this precious boy? * Our kitties are: Spayed/neutered (or provided a spay/neuter voucher for kittens too small for surgery), tested for Feline Leukemia and Feline Aids, up-to-date on vaccines (rabies vaccine when age appropriate and distemper series), treated for parasites, and have microchips. Tiny kittens go in pairs unless there's a companion animal already in the household. Our adoption fees are low. Most are $150 although some very desirable kitties may be more. For a pair, we reduce the adoption fee slightly.December 14, 2024, 2:54 pm

More information coming soon! Please note that it is Fancy Cats’ policy that kittens have an age-appropriate playmate in the home. We also do not adopt kittens to families with children under six years old without seeing appropriate history/experience with cats. Adoption fee includes spay/neuter and microchip.    If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application and a representative will get back to you shortly to answer any questions you may have. The adoption policies and applications can be found at the following links: https://fancycats.org/adopt-a-cat and https://fancycats.org/adopt-a-dog. Email us at  adoption@fancycats.org for general questions about our rescued cats. Email us at dogadoptions@fancycats.org for general questions about our rescued dogs. See our calendar of adoption events at https://fancycats.org/(scroll towards bottom) You can save animals like this one by becoming a foster! Fosters are like bridges between high kill shelters and forever homes. We need fosters so that we can save cats and dogs before they are euthanized at the shelters. Story
We took in our cat Luna when she was about 2 and now she is around 7-8. She is a lovely blue Russian who is gentle and timid, but cuddly and loving with familiar people. However, she’s been having some bowel issues, and after many vet visits, recently got her diagnosed with triaditis. It’s a chronic illness, so we just have to control it with prescription food, probiotics, gabapentin for pain, and liver medicine. However, she’s still having her accidents around the house (droplets of poop closer to the litter box). She still seems cuddly, drinks and eats fine, but often screams out of pain randomly. We want to keep her, but have a first new baby on the way in less than a month and don’t think we’d have the time or attention to help her and think the poop accidents in the house would not be safe for the newborn. We’re hoping someone who has experience with cats can take care of this loving cat. She will be fine with other cats, but scared of dogs, so a home with a dog would not be good.

Story
Mitzi is part of a bonded pair with Baby. They must be adopted together. They are retired barn cats looking for a warm home where they can spend their senior years. Meet Mitzi, whose looks hide a huge personality! You may see Mitzi and think she's very dainty, but this tiny lady revs up like a Formula 1 car and zooms around like it's the last race of the season. Mitzi's estimated birth date is March 2014, but she still acts very much like a younger cat. She will happily clear out any bugs in your home and find a way to get to loose toys under the sofa. She is bonded with her sister, Baby, and the two often pounce on each other like kittens. Mitzi is not picky about her food, but enjoys a combination of wet and dry, and will do just about anything for a Churu. Mitzi is spayed, current on vaccines, tested negative for FeLV and FIV, and has been microchipped. Her adoption fee is sponsored. She must be adopted together with her sister, Baby. The two would do best in a quiet home with experienced cat owners.
