Story
Hello my name is Batty. I am 2 months old. I love to eat can cat food and play with toys. I especially love it when I get catnip. I love to give kisses. I really like to look out the windows. I would make someone a good lap cat. So if your looking for someone to snuggle up with I am your girl. The staff here is always telling me what a sweet girl I am and that they hope my special someone will come in to adopt me soon.

Story
Meet Mystery! The mystery is believed to be a 2-3-year-old Russian Blue mix. What a sweet shy boy. Just lacks confidence in every way. But given the time and space, he's the best! He can be hand-shy at first with humans but comes around eventually. He is her affectionate playful nurturing cat. The mystery was a stray cat in the neighborhood that a little 4-year-old girl fed and loved since kitten. She fed all the kitties daily on her front lawn. One day Mystery showed up with a fractured leg. The neighbor's dog had gotten him. It took 2 months to trap him, but he made it. By the time we could trap him his leg healed wrong. The only option was amputation. We decided not to proceed with it unless he showed an inability to use it or appeared in pain. We have not witnessed either. So he heated his leg. Here we are 18 months later and he's doing great. His best buddy here is Ace. They tend to stick together and lean on one another. They are not bonded at all just best buddies. Mystery cannot be an only pet. He needs a buddy. Whatever species as long as it's friendly and allows Mystery to lean on them for support, comfort, and loving. Mystery is fully vetted spayed and up to date on all vaccines. Updated: 2/1/2023 www.animalhousesanctuary.org We believe training is an ongoing process that needs to be worked on daily. New issues that arise, need to be addressed and/or rewarded. Understanding that continued training is a lifetime commitment, is very important. Out-of-state adopters are welcome at the adopter's expense. Meet & Greets are a required before proceeding with an adoption. We DO NOT ship any of our pets.

Story
Our senior cat Stella was adopted as a kitten in September of 2012. She is slow to warm up but once you gain her trust she is very loving. She is strictly indoors but loves a sunny spot with a view and prefers to be in a quiet home without other animals or children, though she has lived with other calm dogs. She is a bit of a princess and requires someone who is diligent to clean her litter box every other day or so. She prefers a drinking fountain rather than just a water bowl. She has had bowel surgery so we give her specific wet food & treats to help keep her regular as preventative. We are choosing to rehome Stella because she is not adjusting well to our toddler nor our current living arrangements while we are waiting on our home to be built. Stella requires consistent care and affection that we don’t have the ability to do given our circumstances. She is a senior cat but we know that she has several years left to give somebody love and companionship as she is in good health.
