Hello world, meet Sashimi! This gorgeous little (~6 lbs.) little girl came to Salty Paws as a shelter transfer when she fell on hard times after her owner passed away and she (and her dog pal) were left in the home. Her dog friend found a family, but no one had yet stepped up to adopt her. Sashimi is a love, very sweet and happy, albeit a little confused and certainly sad to no longer have her beloved person or dog friend. Once she feels safe, she is no longer shy, but might be until she knows you a little bit. We are still learning about her but do know she is about 3 years old and great with people and cat-friendly dog(s). She is already showing us her resilience and ability to love again. We are honored to find her a new furever home. Her markings are paw-some! Sashimi will make someone a phenomenal new best friend. She has lovely house manners, uses her litter box faithfully and doesn’t seem too picky about food. She is a small cat and is fully grown. Hello World, meet Cecil! Wowza, is this a handsome little guy! He came to us as a shelter transfer but was originally found in the tire of a bucket truck! Despite that humble beginning, we know this is a royal prince waiting to happen. Cecil settled into his foster home in about two seconds, made himself at home and quickly was outgoing, loving, playful and friendly. He is estimated at about 5 months old and seems like he would do great in any feline-loving, indoor home. He loves his little gal pal Elsie (also adoptable). They are not siblings, but struck up a great friendship in their journeys through life. So we think Cecil will do well adopted into a home with an existing cat looking for a friend, on his own or with Elsie. Cecil is a love and anyone would be lucky to adopt him. Is that you? ADOPTION PENDING! Congratulations, beautiful girl! This miraculously rare and special jewel that was abandoned with four kittens at Shipyard Plantation on the island. Sadly, this happens a lot as HHI is a tourist destination and people come and go. Clearly, she has been a house cat at some point. Despite her rough road, she has been true to her elegant lineage and has been brave, friendly and adaptable. She looks like a purebred Russian Blue and has that amazing personality to match. Everyone who meets her falls in love. Although we are still learning about Sapphire, she seems to be great with all people (just wants love and safety) and other cats. She has worked SO hard to keep her babies safe and you can tell, she is ready to decompress and be a spoiled princess. We are unsure of Sapphire’s age, but the vet put her at about 2-3 years old. Like so many abandoned cats, her true beauty and story will unfold in her new home. She is healthy, spayed, has her vaccinations and is ready to finally finder her family … is that you?
