Meet Walter! This 7 year old boy is the sweetest most chill cat ever. He loves laps, belly rubs, cheek scratches, and kisses and he will be your best bud! Walter does have diabetes, but he is not on insulin, he takes an oral medication in his food once per day which one bottle lasts approximately 100 days. He will require ketone testing which is just a litmus strip to see if any ketone bodies are in his urine and occasional blood glucose testing which can be done at home. Grayson is a sweet boy who has had a rough go of it. He spent 10 days trapped in a dumpster at a scrap yard with no food or water. By the time he was rescued, he was barely hanging in there, but with time and love, he's now back to his "big boy" look and attitude! Grayson is positive for FIV, which means his immune system is a little more susceptible to germs. It's not something humans or dogs can get, and he's fine to live with other kitties as long as there's no fighting (deep bite wounds) as that's the only way he could share the virus. You would want to do slow, proper introductions with any other kitties in the home (please reach out for guidence!) We think this sweet, older gentleman deserves to know love and safety after his hard life on the streets.
