Story
Silly Goose is sweet, gentle, loves the water, being outside, and loves being around the people he cares about most. Maybe it’s his sweet eyes that look at you with so much love in them, his cute floppy ears when they perk up or his radiating smile. Goose is a Black Mouth Cur mix approximately just under 2 years old and currently weighs 48 lbs and is fully grown! He is very dog friendly and did amazing meeting all of the dogs we introduced him too. He has the playfulness to play for short bursts with the other dogs but also knows when to take breaks. He is very tolerant and is more of a submissive fella. When he’s not playing with his doggy friends, you’ll typically find him sitting in the back watching the other dogs play in the yard, out exploring and taking in the fresh air, chilling in the pool/pond, or loving on his humans. He has a really nice calming demeanor about him and a great balanced energy that could match a variety of different households. He would do great in home with a backyard where he can sunbathe and roll around in the grass. I do see Goose living his best life out in the country exploring with his people, swimming in the pond, catching butterflies with the kids, and sitting with you on the back porch watching the sunset. Goose is always a bit shy at first but once he knows you’re his person he opens up quickly. Goose has done well in his foster home in the crate and is potty trained. He has also lived with other dogs in the foster home and did great! Goose will need someone willing to help him polish his leash skills and continue reinforcing his basic manners. He is very treat motivated which will make training a breeze. He is not jumpy or mouthy and is very tolerant of physical touch. We believe he would make a great family dog with kids. We are willing to test Goose with anything you need us to in order to ensure it’s the perfect match for you! We can make anything happen! Just let us know. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no choice but to euthanize animals for space. We prepare them for adoption by properly vetting and providing individualized care through our incredible behavior program that consists of socialization and leash training for all animals that enter our adoption program prior to matching them with loving families who will treasure them for the rest of their lives. They are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts once adopted, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! Three Little Pitties Rescue will soon be celebrating our 5 year anniversary! Over the course of this time, we have been very fortunate for so much growth, allowing us to further connect with the community and save many lives. Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 10,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be brought into our rescue program. Together, we can be heroes. Story
Meet Brando- the sweetest, cutest little puppy in the world. Brando is 100% snuggles, sunshine and good times, just a little puppy looking for his forever family. We think Brando is a German Shepherd, Catahoula mix, though he is a rescue, so exact age and breed are a mystery. He’s around five months old, and still has quite a few of his puppy teeth! He weighs in just under thirty pounds right now, but he’s still growing! Watch Brando here: https://youtu.be/cQb2ondiOqY Brando is your typical puppy, all about naps, snuggles, playtime and food! He loves treats, and he takes them so gently already! Brando shows tons of signs that he’ll be a good dog when he grows up. He’s not mouthy, he’s learning his leash skills quickly, and he’s great at checking in with his humans during play time. He calms down quickly when playtime is over, and then it’s straight to snuggles. He’s confident and affectionate, and will climb up on the couch with you for some love! Brando LOVES belly rubs. With other dogs, Brando is all play! He’s super friendly with other dogs and instant BFFs with anyone that will indulge him in a game of chase. Here at the rescue, we cat tested Brando. Brando was playful, but not reactive toward our house cat Tom. See his full cat test in his YouTube video. Our behavior team believes that Brando could live in a house with kitties, so long as another dog is present to teach him proper kitty-etiquete. Brando is still young so he will need a family that can commit to training, socialization and all the dedication puppyhood requires. His new family will need to continue with potty and crate training and daily exercise. We require a commitment from adoptive families to crate train their new puppy. When old enough, they will be perfect to go on walks and hikes or show off around your neighborhood. We are willing to test him with anything you need us to in order to ensure he’s the perfect match for you! We can make most anything happen- just let us know. With any specific questions, please reach out to his adoption coordinator, whose email is linked below. Story
Shadow is a 3-year-old, 60-pound Curr and German Shepherd mix with a HUGE smile and a tail that never stops wagging! This sweet and snugly boy lives up to his name—he'll happily follow you around, sticking close by your side as your loyal companion. Shadow's FAVORITE place is upside down in your lap or arms. It doesn't matter if you are outside in the yard or on a couch. Shadow loves to be the center of your world, and we believe he deserves it! Shadow's love for people extends to kids too. He is ever so friendly, and cuddly with kids of all ages. He doesn't knock them down, but might just flip right over for a belly rub. We know Shadow would make a great family dog, just save a couch cushion of him to snuggle in to. Shadow is a pro at walking on a leash and enjoys exploring the world with you. He's also a social butterfly who gets along great with other dogs, both big and small, making friends wherever he goes. He has charmed everyone with his friendly demeanor and has shown himself to be potty trained, making him the perfect housemate. See sweet boy Shadow here: https://youtu.be/x0qWFXuhVCc?feature=shared Shadow is dog friendly, but he really just prefers people. We think Shadow would do fine in a home with or without dogs. He most of all just wants to be by your side or making you laugh. He’ll sit right next to you, looking up with the sweetest smile as if you’re the best thing he's ever seen. He’s ready to be your new shadow, offering endless love, snuggles, and companionship. Shadow does well in his crate with bone to chew on. He isn't a big barker unless he sees you and just wants to come out and snuggle. We think Shadow would do well in a home that was busy or had visitors since he is such a happy greeter to all people. Shadow has met teenagers and was so snugly. Shadow would either love to be in a home with a family with kids or even a single person. that loves to take their dog places with them. If you're looking for a loyal, loving dog to be your next best friend, Shadow is the one. He’s ready to find a forever home where he can share his big heart and sweet smile with his new family. Adopt Shadow, and you’ll gain a faithful companion who will brighten your days for years to come!
