Story
Meet Buddy – A Gentle Soul Looking for His Perfect Match! Buddy is a senior Ridgeback/Black Mouth Cur mix with a heart full of love and a personality that shines once he feels safe. He may be shy at first and take some time to decompress, but once he’s comfortable, his sweet and gentle nature comes through. Buddy absolutely loves other dogs and enjoys their company. He is both house-trained and crate-trained—in fact, his crate is his happy place! When left alone, he prefers the security of his kennel, and even when his humans are home, he often chooses to relax there with the door open. This lovable senior does well on a leash and would thrive in a quiet, low-energy home with a patient adopter who understands that he needs time to adjust. While he hasn't been around young children, his gentle nature suggests he would be great with them. We don’t know how he is with cats, but he gets along wonderfully with other dogs. Buddy’s favorite toys are anything soft and squishy, and he enjoys the simple comforts of companionship. He would be the perfect match for someone looking for a loving, loyal companion who doesn’t need a high-energy lifestyle. With patience and understanding, Buddy has so much love and potential to share. Are you the kind soul ready to give Buddy the forever home he deserves? Story
We took in Ada as a foster because her previous owner was going to give her up to the shelter. She was skittish at first but warmed up quickly. She learns commands quickly and will need regular training as she still gets distracted/excited easily. She does very well in her crate where she sleeps at night and naps. She loves chewing and will need plenty of toys to keep her interested. She's got a good bark and will need to be calmed down if she hears a spooky noise outside. She is extremely loyal and stays by your side. She is attention driven, not food driven. She is very sweet and will do best with someone who can give her the time and attention she deserves. She loves meeting new people. She loves our older (neutered) male dog. She loves our two year old but needs to be told to give him space. She is getting better and better at leaving the cat and chicken alone. She still needs a confidence boost on the leash but she does not run away unless spooked.

Story
My sister in law is going through a domestic violence situation and had to move out as quick as possible. Unfortunately she is unable to keep her beloved dog. I am currently fostering her now. She’s super sweet and LOVES being around other people. She gets along well with dogs but needs a slow introduction. She’s great friends with my Great Dane. Great with kids.

Story
"Hi, I'm Violet! I am a young female pup with lots of love to give! My foster mom made it her mission to rescue me after she noticed me living outside her neighborhood for weeks. Can you believe I was all alone? Foster mom was so worried about me that she started leaving food and water for me at my favorite sunbathing yards. She found these nice ladies who helped catch me using a magic box with yummy food. That was a little scary but it was worth it! I am super affectionate, friendly, playful, and gentle. I love playing with other dogs, but I haven't met any kitties or kids yet, so I'm not quite sure how I feel about them. I'm a bit timid, but if you give me a ball or a nice cozy spot we'll be besties. Foster mom says I do great in my crate and she'll tell you how much I love to cuddle. I may whine a bit when I'm alone but I can work on this if you give me some time. In my dream home i'd have doggie siblings and we would get to go on lots of walks and adventures! Here's to many games of fetch and lots of cuddles in our future!"
