Story
Coby, a.k.a. Roadblock, is a purebred Rhodesian Ridgeback with all the typical traits; loyal, intelligent, sensitive, mischievous, strong-willed, etc...  He gets along with dogs of all sizes after a slow introduction, and loves having a playmate!  He's house trained, loves going for walks, and wants to be close to his people as much as possible.   Coby has a neurological disorder causing an uncoordinated gait and clumsiness, but this doesn't prevent him from doing normal activities.  Smooth surfaces (like tile floors) make walking more challenging at times and he may fall occasionally, but he does not require any assistance. Coby is looking for a special family to overlook his handicap and love him for the special guy that he is!  Since he does need guidance for some activities, he will require an experienced owner who is capable and willing to continue his training.  In return, Coby will love you deeply and guard your home from all the dangers lurking about outside! While this big guy is a fun-loving gentle giant, he will not do well in a home with children or cats.January 7, 2025, 10:52 am

Age: Approx. 4 years Gender: Male Weight: 55 lbs Breed: Rhodesian Ridgeback Mix Favorites: Exploring outside, hanging out with people Energy level: Moderate Training: Appears potty trained Other important info about me: When I first arrived at the shelter as a stray I was very shy, and didn’t even want to stand up or walk on a leash. But after some time, I began to become more comfortable and am starting to be a more outgoing, social guy! I have a gentle soul, and it appears that I may not have been treated very well in the past. I am looking for a family where I will feel safe and loved; could that be you? I appear to get along well with people of all ages and other dogs, but I haven’t been tested with cats at this time. I fostered Arthur to help out a rescue, and they are still seeking a new home. He is a very sweet but shy dog. He his crate trained, house trained, and knows sit, stay, come, wait along with other basic commands. He has lots of energy, but loves to cuddle at the same time. He gets along with dogs and cats, but does like to chase cats. Hes very smart and eager to learn. He was neutered in November. I want him to go to a good home. He is a pure Rhodesian ridgeback.

Found this dog two months ago. I’ve done everything I can think of to keep him from a shelter. He’s smart, and kind. He already knows basic commands. I’m willing to travel a bit. Please consider adopting this guy he really deserves a home. J can’t keep him because my 7 year old Chihuahua doesn’t like other animals at all.
