Harleigh is being returned to our rescue for the THIRD time, this time after almost a year and a half. We traced her microchip when we first rescued her and found she'd been in atleast TWO homes prior to us. She is a WONDERFUL GIRL, just needs a specific type of home for her own comfort. Harleigh is 6.5 years old and weighs 70lbs. She is friendly with other animals BUT she does NOT like SHARING A HOME (or her humans) with other pets. She needs to be an ONLY PET. She would play with multuple other dogs in boarding with no issues, but she did become jealous and growl if she was getting attention and another dog came trying to get in on her time. Kids. She is kid friendly BUT kids being kids, running around, loud etc... makes her uncomfortable and she wants far away SO bigger or calm children if any are best. Just for her own comfort and sanity. She's not an old girl by any means, but she much prefers the "retirement home type" living situation. Harleigh is very chill and extremely loving and well behaved. She doesn't require long walks or anything crazy. She would much rather be at home napping with her humans close by than out playing ball or running a marathon. She literally just wants a quiet home, a soft bed and a human or two to love.... it can't be that hard to find.... surely someone knows someone, or has parents, or even grandparents who could use a companion with four paws and a huge heart to love! ##981112##

Glory is a male Rhodesian Ridgeback mix. He weighs 55 to 60 lbs and is about 2 years old. His owenr moved and left him alone in a rental property. The owner of the property loves animals and didn't want to take him to the shelter so we need to find Glory a forever home. He is super friendly and loves everyone.. He is housebroken and crate trained and very eager to please. He is very sweet and laid back. He is good with children as well. He is the only dog but wags his tail when he sees dogs and he is submissive. He's such a sweet pup. he is kennel trained and house trained, though he loves it out of the crate..He doesn't destroy anything,unless you give him a stuffy ( stuff animal) and it will snow stuffing. Lol. He great in the car. Loves walks. He also likes chasing thrown tennis balls. He will curl up and be the biggest love bug. He truly is a awesome pup. He has no known health issues. Meet Callie! Callie is a four-year-old Rhodesian Ridgeback mix. She is super loyal and loving to her people. She loves to hang out inside with her people but enjoys rolling around in the yard and sunning herself on a pretty day. When her mommy and daddy had a baby, she was a little stressed out by all the chaos and, they knew she would be happier in a home where she did not have babies crying or toddlers invading her space, so she is looking for her forever home. She is currently staying with her grandparents while waiting for a forever family. She is up to date with vaccines, spayed, and has an appointment to be microchipped soon. Her anxiety is well managed with medication. She weighs 90 lbs and has been working on getting to her ideal weight with daily exercise and weight management food. She would love to accompany you on your own wellness journey if you too are looking for daily exercise! Callie LOVES her adult people. She will sit at your feet and hang out with you for hours. When she gets spurts of energy, she invites you to play and will go get toys and sticks you throw for her. She is not a big fan of giving them back to you, but loves the chase. She thrives when she gets her daily walk and would be your best friend if you took her on a neighborhood walk each day. She is super friendly to people and pets out in the neighborhood but needs to make your acquaintance before you come into her space. Her first family had babies and dogs, and she prefers life as the diva, free of children or other pets in the house. Callie is potty trained, and sleeps in her crate. She is the best at walking on a leash and aced her obedience training. She is super smart and learns quickly. She is the type of pup who will take some time to warm up to you, but will be very loyal to her new family. She will thrive in an adult-only household where she can be queen! This Rhodesian Ridgeback/Blackmouth Cur mix is a big boy who found himself at the shelter when his owner passed away. There was no family to step up for Luke, so he is stuck at the pound. This is so sad and unfair for a dog who does not understand why he is now homeless or where his beloved owner has gone. Luke loves people and always has a big smile on his face. He has shown no aggression to other dogs and appears to be very genial to others. Luke walks well on a leash and we think he is potty trained. Luke is a good looking dog, but at 95 pounds, could use to lose about 10 pounds. He would be a great dog for someone wants a dog who is already trained to be a great companion. We have had these precious girls many months now, with plenty of opportunities to watch their interactions and play style. While, in general, we do NOT recommend adopting siblings, these two have proven to be the exception to the rule. They LOVE each other and have never, ever had a raised lip, a side-eyed look, a growl or anything else. We would really love for them to be adopted together. CONROE TEXAS ---------- Meet beautiful Miss Annie! This sweetheart was dumped in the woods outside Houston and was left to fend for herself. Luckily for her, a most wonderful rescue angel "street feeder" who brings daily food for dogs who have been abandoned, alerted to Annie's plight and we were able to whisk her to safety. Annie's estimated DOB is May 2023. She is spayed and current on vaccinations. Annie did test low positive for heartworms but does not have any symptoms and has no activity restrictions. She is being treated with the slow kill method. She is a strong and healthy girl and should have no lasting health issues. Despite being a former street dog, Annie is in good health and is a happy, outgoing, playful girl. She is great with other dogs and is very friendly with people. Although she was abandoned, she does not seem to have suffered any abuse. Since she is a mix she will be smaller than a purebred Anatolian. She's what we affectionately call a "pocket Anatolian" and will be great for people who have smaller homes/yards or aren't physically able to handle a 100+ pound dog. She will likely top out in the 60 pound range. Annie has not been tested with children, cats or livestock. Since she is an Anatolian MIX, she is looking for a family companion home and is not available as a livestock/working dog. NO LIVESTOCK EXPERIENCE SECURE FENCING REQUIRED Transport assistance may be available within a 1,000 mile radius depending on where you live and the availability of volunteer drivers.
