Story
Welcome Skipper to CCPAL Rescue. Skipper is a 90-pound Ridgeback/Dane mix is our best guess. He is a mush to the people he knows and his breed is very loyal. He was adopted out as a tiny puppy and a year and a half later he was found on the streets skinny and with hair loss. He is now back at the rescue and he is doing great. He is friendly to all of us and very happy to see his friends. He didn’t jump up but he does pull on leash. I don’t think he got to do much leash work. He has an adorable widow’s peak. He would be great for a family who has a traveling father or someone not home. You could feel safe that Skipper would keep the family safe. He looks intimidating and has a big bark but very very gentle and goofy to those he loves. He has a low coat and not a big shedding dog. We would like someone who has worked with an extra-large breed or a Ridgeback. He will do good with a strong owner that is willing to work with him to give him direction and training. He is one of our favorites and we think he may be related to JJ who is also available at CCPAL. Skipper has been checked over by the vet and is in good health. He has been given a Bravecto and is growing hair and putting on weight here at the rescue. He would be a great partner for a jogger and due to his large size could definitely keep up with even a faster stride. He can go with children. We like them to be 8 or older. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally. We can also work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 300 and transport is 200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Story
Hiya! I’m Dale! Are you looking for an adventurer? I’d love to be your right hand gal! I am around 2 years old. I have excellent manners, I’m house broken, I keep my kennel tidy, I know how to sit and lay down, I’m great on a leash too! I can be mellow and I can be very playful. I’d do good with dogs of that temperament! I'm a little intimidated by little dogs, so maybe none of those... I absolutely love people, I get excitable when I first see you but then I settle down quite nicely. I’m so eager to learn and understand whatever it is my human needs me to do! I’m a love bug all the way around. My dream home is an active one! Hiking, swimming, nature walks.. you name it! Can’t wait to meet the purfect family for me! Dale is about 2 years old. She is spayed, updated on all vaccines. She is currently on heartworm and flea preventative.

Story
Hello friends, This is Rusty and he is in need of an active home. He loves to be walked and really needs the exercise because he is a puppy and has lots of energy. He loves the attention and is good with other dogs and loves kids and would love a big back yard to run and play. He is very shy and somewhat timid at first, but once he gets to know you, he’s sweet as a button. I rescued him from being dumped and unfortunately with my job and family, I’m not able to give him that extra attention he needs.

These pups are in Boerne, Texas too!

Story
Meet Olivia: She and her 2 puppies were living in a neighborhood utility easement surviving off of the streets. Olivia is VERY sweet, well behaved, knows commands and is gentle. She loves people, getting her belly rubbed, giving kisses and playing with toys but does prefer to be the only dog in your life. We are not sure how such a sweet girl could end up on the streets, with babies, and even more so- why she is still at our shelter. Give us a call if you are interested in meeting Olivia she will steal your heart.

Story
Meet Runner! This sweet girl got her name from following her finder home on a run! She probably knew she’d found someone who would help her. She’s a little nervous, but it’s only her first day at the rescue. Her finder had her for a month and fully house trained her, and she knows her manners. Runner is about 2 years old and weighs 42 pounds. She looks like a Black Mouth Cur mix, but she has a fluffy tail and some interesting coloring on her legs. She walks well on a leash, and is learning that the world is a fun place to explore when you have a safe, warm home and regular food every day! She’s good with other dogs and people, and would love to keep building her confidence. We’ll update as we learn more about her!IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adoptAll of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. If you are seeing our pets posted in your state, that's because you live near a transport stop, they are not currently at that location. Petfinder lists our pets as "Out of Town" pets at other locations, and Adopt-a-Pet lists our location as a Transport stop. Those are currently the only options they offer to make this clear, so we put this description we've put at the bottom to explain it. You can read more about transport here: www.charmingpetrescue.org/transportWe understand transport is not an option for everyone, but we offer it at the cost we pay the transport company for those who wish to adopt from us.

Story
WE ARE A TX BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application found at haydudeequine.org Pacaya - You are the bridge between what was and what will be, my pathway to a new life! I am an athletic little lady from Central America, named for the volcano where I was found. I love to run around having a grand ole time and would make a great companion for an active individual or family that loves to hike or as a jogging pawtner!! Are you training for a 5K and need a running companion? I am your gal!! Are you and your family out hiking and exploring on the weekends? Again, you need to look no further for canine companionship! But, wait, there's more!! I also enjoy sitting on the couch and watching TV with my Hoomans :) Nothing better than a belly rub and an ear scratch after a fun day full of activities! :) I am not overly hyper, anxious, or high strung, I just enjoy the outdoors but I also love my down time with my family!! Sleeping on my doggie bed under the fan sure beats the volcanic rock of my youth! Just a little about my youth; I was born on the side of the Pacaya volcano in Guatemala. One day, a lady from Hay Dude Rescue came to hike the volcano with her family. I introduced myself by doing my "good dog" tricks; sit, shake hands, and don't jump up!! Through lots of red tape (including quarantine) we found ourselves at the Houston airport!! God Bless America!! I am so grateful to be here and for the love, food , and care that I receive...and it shows on my face and my appreciative attitude. At 2 years old and 35ish svelte pounds, I am in the prime of my l life and am seeking my permanent Hooman family. I get along great with all people and dogs and I'm already house trained! I am joy filled at every aspect of life and communicate that joy through my loving nature and accommodating personality. My clear, bright eyes sparkle with intelligence and understanding. I understand a lot of human speak and pay attention to my people and surroundings. If you are looking for an intelligent, fun loving and active companion, I am that gal!!
