Story
Minnie became a cul-de-sac celebrity when she wandered into a friendly neighborhood. She would wander from house to house making friends. Finally someone took her in and got her to us. Minnie is the dog equivalent of Miss Congeniality. She hasn’t met a stranger and loves playing. Her favorite toys are benebones and she loves to snuggle. She is such a happy girl, we couldn’t believe we never found a family looking for her!

Story
Abigail is a very sweet girl who longs for affection and attention. She initially belonged to my brother-in-law who, unfortunately, was unable to keep her when he relocated back to Florida about 4.5 years ago. Since then, Abigail has been living with my mother-in-law and her elderly black lab. Several months ago my mother-in-law had a stroke and had to be moved to an assisted living facility. We already have 3 senior dogs of our own and while we're able to take on mom's older lab, Abigail has more energy than is good for our dogs in their twilight years. Abigail needs and deserves to be with an individual or family that can give her the kind of exercise and attention that she deserves. She bonds easily but does get a little anxious when separated from her people and would probably benefit from crate training. She's very smart, knows basic commands, is housebroken, and loves to play fetch. She's not great on a leash but that's more due to lack of experience.

Story
Hi, my name is Cooper!I am a goofy, loving boy looking for my forever home! I have been in the shelter for a while now, but no one can quite understand why. I am very intelligent, cuddly, sweet, and loyal. I do not bark much, but I love to "talk" to my people. My foster mom never understands what I am saying, but I love to make her smile and laugh. I have been abandoned before, so meeting new people can be scary for me. I might bark at new people, but everyone knows that I am just scared. Once you show me love (and some good treats) you will be in my pack for life! I'm a little weary of kids, so I'd love to have a home with none or older kids that can respect my boundaries! I am always excited for an adventure, but I could also happily lay on the couch all day with you. I am highly food-motivated, so training is very easy with me. I am very respectful of rules and boundaries, but I need someone who is going to be respectful of my boundaries too. I am fully house-broken, and can be trusted alone outside of a crate. I would love a forever home with loving people who live a quiet, low-key lifestyle. I need patience with my training and time to allow me to learn how to live a worry-free life. My adoption fee of $50 includes up-to-date vaccinations, dewormer, and heartworm/flea prevention. Plus, a microchip that is already registered to you! I will also have a free yearly exam and core vaccines for the rest of my life with the Wetness Clinic. What more could you ask for?Our adoptions are BY APPOINTMENT ONLY Tuesday through Saturday. Please complete an application online and you will be contacted if you are approved and a good fit for one of our adoptable pets.

Story
Dembe's is a beautiful Catahoula mix who has been spoiled and pampered most of his life. He will be 5 years old in November. His mom is working long hours and doesn't have a lot of time to spend with him and it is creating some anxiety issues for Dembe. She also lives in a very busy townhouse with no yard. Dembe does great with other dogs and would love to have a medium to large canine sibling. He would like to have a yard of his own with another dog to play and romp. He does well on leash walks and loves car rides and carrots! He also loves to go to daycare.Dembe does not have experience with children or cats. A home with teens on up would be best for him. He does get very anxious in a crate and will hurt himself if left alone in a crate. Dembe takes 10-15 minutes to warm up to new people and then all is great.Dembe is part of our Home-to-Home Program. Although he is not a Pawmetto Lifeline dog, he has received the same high standards of care. Vaccinations, micro-chip, heartworm test and neuter are included in the adoption fee. Pawmetto Lifeline wants every animal to have a chance to find a loving forever home. If you are the right home for Dembe, please fill out an application. Please fill out an adoption application at https://pawmettolifeline.org/adoption/adoptionapplication/ or contact adoption@pawmettolifeline.org if you would like to meet this animal.
