Milo’s journey will break your heart. It hasn’t been an easy one, but he’s a true fighter with a spirit that will give you faith in humanity. Found emaciated and suffering, Milo has shown nothing but resilience and bravery as he recovers and learns to trust again. He may have had a rough start, but he’s all about making up for lost time with his goofy, playful nature! Now that he’s on the mend, Milo is showing his true colors: he’s sweet, dog-friendly, and loves to bring joy to everyone around him. His goofy antics and joyful energy will have you laughing in no time, and his affectionate side will make you want to shower him with love. Milo loves to bee bop around the yard with his doggy foster siblings, and is always eager to check in on his person with a big smile on his face. He loves the older kid in his foster home also. Milo is crate trained. When he was emaciated, he weighted 64 lbs, so he is going to be a big boy as he continues to gain weight! Milo is going through heartworm treatment. It's an overall easy process that includes taking it easy and a few vet visits. His treatment is covered by the rescue at our vet in Meridian. He is available within an hour of Boise. Milo has had top notch care from his rescuers since the day he was rescued from the streets, we are excited to continue showing him the kinder side of life. Rita is always vocal about her love and excitement, making every day an adventure. She thrives on attention and is eager to be the center of your world. Rita had an outing and spent the day at the home of one of our volunteer couples They said she was wonderful in their home and enjoyed driving around town. Health & Care: Rita is in excellent health, up-to-date on her vaccinations, and spayed. She has a strong, energetic nature and benefits from regular exercise and mental stimulation. Rita responds best to a firm and confident handler who can provide consistent training and guidance. What Rita Needs: Rita is looking for a dedicated and loving home where she can receive the attention and care she deserves. She’s a great fit for an active family or individual who can match her energy and provide her with plenty of playtime, training, and affection. Rita’s vocal nature and need for structure make her an ideal companion for someone who can offer both firm guidance and plenty of love. She would do best as a the only dog in the household. We are committed to finding the perfect match for this spirited girl. All dogs are vaccinated, microchipped and spayed or neutered (if they are old enough) before they leave the shelter. MEET ROMEO! Are you looking for a dog to be your loyal companion and protector? If so, Romeo is your guy! He is a handsome 6-year-old male Black Mouth Cur, possibly mixed with Boxer. (His shelter paperwork says shepherd-boxer mix). Romeo is a gorgeous, handsome dog who loves to walk, hike and be with his person or people. He would be an awesome companion for someone who loves to hike! He's a great guard dog and can be protective, so would do best in a non-congested area where neighbors aren't a concern. Romeo also has a prey drive, so needs a strong owner. He has done well with other dogs, though has been leash reactive in the past. He's incredibly smart, affectionate, and will attach to his person or people. He is easy to groom, is playful, and loves a good belly rub! He will benefit from walks, hikes, and exercise, and people who understand his breed. Romeo weighs 74 lbs. Please email for an application.
