Story
Juliet or Juju, is a loving 5 years old Rodeshian Ridgeback mix. Juliet came to my life when she was just 4 weeks old. This girl have been nothing but a blessing in my life. She has a very strong temper/ stubborn but is super obedient and incredibly smart! She loves her daily walks, she gets along with male dogs no sot with female dogs. It’s an issue that ca be fixed with training. Juliet is super easy going, loves cuddles, loves her busy bones. Due to unforeseen circumstances with a heavy heart I have to rehome her. Anybody will be lucky to Juliet her in their family. She has two mini pins brothers that she loves very much and play with them everyday. I work 12 hours shifts and she has never had an accident and all she does is roam around the yard and sleep! I would prefer an active family with some sort of yard and that will Incorporate her into the family!

Story
Dexter was found dumped with a very pregnant female dog who soon had 8 babies. We aren't sure he's the daddy, but he loves the mama. He is a big boy that will need structure and someone that can handle training him because he hasn't learned any manners. He is a total sweetheart that was dealt a bad hand in life, but now has a chance to find a wonderful home where he can be the best dog that he can be. He was wonderful potential and needs to be given a chance. He hasn't shown any aggression towards people, and he's met many recently, but seems to be a little more timid around other dogs. Please don't pass up this wonderful pup because he needs some training to be "civilized" because he is a total love. Dexter will need a high fence that he cannot jump or climb; he’s a master escape artist, but with discipline and a watchful eye, he will be just fine. He will be neutered and fully vetted before adoption. He can be cat tested upon request.SGER FAQs:We are a 501c3 non profit rescue.Your information in our application is not shared and is protocol for adoption. Story
Candy is a girl that is shy, but has the sweetest disposition. She gets along with everyone at the rescue and is just a goofy wonderful girl that doesn’t have a mean bone in her body. Candy came to us after being found dumped with a male dog (Dexter) and with 11 puppies. Sadly, one puppy had already passed and then the rest slowly died once at the rescue. The vet suspects they had a viral infection that they picked up when out in the woods still. Candy has been doing great since being with us and did everything she could to help her babies. She’s spayed and will never have puppies again so she’s just waiting for her forever family to come along. They’ll need to be kind and patient with her as she learns to trust and know that she’s safe.

Story
Meet Oswald, a gentle giant with a heart as big as his frame. This lovable fellow is believed to be a fun blend of Rhodesian Ridgeback and Great Dane, though it is his Ridgeback side that shines through most prominently. His coat boasts a striking red sable coloring, a rich blend of reddish- brown with distinctive black-tipped fur and a stunning face mask. Although he is a larger dog, Oswald exudes a certain grace that is a joy to watch. His eyes, large and inquisitive, reflect the kindness and intelligence that radiates from within. Oswald's affectionate nature is undeniable; he's quick to offer love and companionship to anyone and everyone he meets. While Oswald's size and exuberance may require a bit of understanding, especially with smaller children, his amiable nature makes him a wonderful companion for families with prior experience handling larger breeds. This delightful pup enjoys the companionship of other dogs, once they have been properly introduced. He has had some struggles with dog reactivity, but is doing great with training, and will only continue to improve with a consistent, patient, and strong owner. He has not spent much time inside around cats, but is comfortable seeing and walking near them while on outside. When it comes to care, Oswald is fine with a quiet day inside, but also loves to get out, whether it’s the beach or a local walking trail. On walks, he's a model of composure, walking wonderfully on leash and very responsive to corrections. In essence, Oswald is an absolute sweetheart just looking for his forever people. If you are interested in learning more about this dog, please complete an application by visiting http://www.floridaurgentrescue.com/adopt. Story
Samantha | 1.5 year old | 70 lbs | Mixed Breed Hey there, my name is Samantha! I was brought to K9s For Warriors in October of 2024, and I passed my initial testing with flying colors! I’m a lovable bundle of joy with a playful spirit and a heart full of affection. I love rolling around with my toys and eagerly bringing them to my favorite humans for a fun game of tug. I’m a silly, smart, and sweet pup who adores spending time with my people, showering them with love and loyalty. I’m sure to brighten every moment with my charming personality! I can easily be described as a social butterfly; every human is my friend. As for dogs, I haven’t successfully made any friends during my time at K9s and would prefer being an only dog in the household for now. I am crate trained, microchipped, up to date on my vaccines, familiar with some of my basics, and would love to continue learning with you! If you are considering adopting Samantha, we highly encourage you to reach out to set up a formal meet and greet. We look forward to hearing from you and hope we can help find your new furever friend!

Meet Ragnar: The World’s Most Chill Escape Artist! Some dogs have a special talent—fetch, rolling over, maybe even agility courses. Ragnar? His talent is escaping. But don’t let that scare you! Ragnar isn’t running away from something—he’s running to you. This sweet, low-energy guy isn’t interested in solo adventures, he just hates being alone. Despite his relaxed personality, Ragnar has somehow mastered the art of scaling 6-foot walls, wooden privacy fences, chain link fences, jumping through open windows, opening latches, and outsmarting even the most secure kennels… all in pursuit of human companionship. His dream home? Somewhere with people who are around a majority of the time who love his calm, affectionate nature. A secure yard would be great (though let’s be honest, he will definitely houdini his way out of it), but he just wants to be where the people are.So, if you’ve been looking for a gentle, loving dog who also happens to have the skills of a Navy SEAL when it comes to obstacles, Ragnar is your guy! Just don’t be surprised if you turn around and he’s suddenly right next to you… even if he wasn’t there a second ago.Come meet Ragnar today—before he meets you first! This dog has special needs - they are heartworm positive. Dogs with heartworm disease can live happy, high quality lives as long as they are given appropriate care. We think that our heartworm dogs have just as much to offer their new adopters as any other dog and they deserve a chance at life! Heartworm disease is relatively common in the United States, so we are in need of caring adopters like YOU that are willing to open their home to a dog with heartworm disease. You are truly saving a life by adopting a heartworm positive dog!Ask staff about the Stormie Rain Heartworm Fund and what assistance may be available for heartworm treatment expenses.ADOPTION PROCESS: The adoption process is simple and straight forward.Pre-Screening Adoption Application here: https://tinyurl.com/adoptfromHSCCOur receptionists can usually approve/dis-approve your application same day.
