Story
I inherited my dog, Buddy, when my mother passed in 2021. She adopted him at around 1 year old. He has some behavioral issues—he barks a lot and sometimes jumps other dogs at the park. He’s improved under my guidance but still needs work. I take him on regular hikes, and he loves long car rides. He’d be perfect for a trucker. We recently moved from Florida, where he had a house and yard, to a packed apartment with my cousin and his kids. I’m now traveling often for work and can’t give him the attention he needs. I never trained him properly, but with patience, he’d be a great dog. He’s loyal but has separation anxiety if he trusts you. I don’t want to put him down—he’ll be only six on May 13th.

Story
Great dog just need a new home. He would really benefit from a single owner who can take him for long walks. Very loving but he has a habit of chasing our kids and knocking them over and this has been an issue so a house without young children would be better. He is not an aggressive or mean dog just has the natural instinct to want to run and catch things that are running. He really needs a person who will walk him daily and take him down trails and hikes.

Story
Welcome Skipper to CCPAL Rescue. Skipper is a 90-pound Ridgeback/Dane mix is our best guess. He is a mush to the people he knows and his breed is very loyal. He was adopted out as a tiny puppy and a year and a half later he was found on the streets skinny and with hair loss. He is now back at the rescue and he is doing great. He is friendly to all of us and very happy to see his friends. He didn’t jump up but he does pull on leash. I don’t think he got to do much leash work. He has an adorable widow’s peak. He would be great for a family who has a traveling father or someone not home. You could feel safe that Skipper would keep the family safe. He looks intimidating and has a big bark but very very gentle and goofy to those he loves. He has a low coat and not a big shedding dog. We would like someone who has worked with an extra-large breed or a Ridgeback. He will do good with a strong owner that is willing to work with him to give him direction and training. He is one of our favorites and we think he may be related to JJ who is also available at CCPAL. Skipper has been checked over by the vet and is in good health. He has been given a Bravecto and is growing hair and putting on weight here at the rescue. He would be a great partner for a jogger and due to his large size could definitely keep up with even a faster stride. He can go with children. We like them to be 8 or older. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally. We can also work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 300 and transport is 200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Story
Meet Bandit – the most lovable little puppy you’ll ever meet! With his sweet and wiggly nature, he’s sure to steal your heart from the moment you lay eyes on him. Bandit's journey began in the most special way. His mama arrived at her southern foster home very pregnant, and soon enough, he and his four siblings, Cowgirl, Tank, Cash and Lil Man, were born. Their mama was an incredibly dedicated and loving mother, giving her all to raise her pups in the safest and most nurturing environment. Thanks to his mama’s care, Tank and his siblings grew up in a cozy, loving home, where they were showered with attention and affection. His days are filled with all the good stuff: breakfast and dinner, a little cleaning, and lots of playtime – both in the morning and at night. Bandit’s routine is as fun and sweet as his personality!Bandit is currently working on his house and crate training, and with a little patience, he will become a pro at both! This curious little adventurer loves to explore the world around him, and his head tilt is the cutest thing you’ll ever see when he’s concentrating on something (or just focusing on you!). Bandit’s not just a curious guy, though – he’s also a super cuddly boy. After his adventures, there’s nothing he loves more than snuggling up for some quality cuddle time.Bandit is looking for a loving, caring home with an active family who can keep up with his curiosity and playful spirit. He’s the perfect companion for anyone who loves a cuddly, wiggly pup with a heart full of love.If you’re ready for endless snuggles, playful moments, and lots of love, Bandit is your boy!Name: BanditBreed: Rhodesian Ridgeback/Mountain CurSex: MaleAge: 8 weeksWeight: 10.0Spayed/Neutered: Too young - Spay/Neuter Contract will be required and strictly enforced.Vaccinations: Puppy vaccines will be up to date. Consider the lifestyle change this puppy will come with. He cannot be crated for more than 3-4 hours until he's older. Puppy-proofing your home will be necessary. Puppies scratch and nip, so if you have small children, can they handle this? Training will be so crucial in this puppy's life.
