He is a super sweetie who was found, along with his brother, Wayne, tied to a dumpster. These are sweet boys, very smart and amazingly calm for being so young. They are extremely loving and affectionate and ready for a home where they can get lots of love and training, either separately or together. Both pups are available to foster or adopt. Megan Megan is a sweet wonderful 8 year old Rhodesian mix. She was adopted from an AZ Humane Society as a companion dog to a Yellow Lab as they were the same age. She was over a year old when we rescued her. She was raised in a 2 adult home with no children at home with a yellow lab and a cat. She loves to hang out in the house on her dog bed or at the foot of the bed. She tends to love walks with a gentle leader in fair weather. Off leash she will wander and explore. She does get along with dogs and cats but would rather ignore them. She would be fine with another dog but Rhodesian’s tend to be a little aloof. She eats 2 cups of dry Purina dog food 2X day and weighs about 55 lbs. She is spayed and microchipped. She is not a beggar but does like table scraps. She is in good health and needs to have her nails trimmed monthly. She loves car rides. She is very mellow and most time you don't know she is in the house.

Penny is a very sweet Ridgeback mix who has been living with us for 7 years since we rescued her. She loves to have one good walk a day in the morning and then spend the rest of the day napping on a couch. She is a large dog (80lbs), but luckily she moves slower now that she's a little older. She has spent her whole time with us living with our other dog, a 15lb Dachshund. We also had a baby 2 years ago and Penny has been so sweet and gentle with the baby for her whole life. Unfortunately, Penny is a nervous dog. On walks she is easily riled up by other dogs barking at her or by certain noises, especially skateboards. There are dogs that she sees every day that she happily plays with, but also dogs that I know I have to turn around to avoid if we see them, or else she will start barking and pulling. The reason I am rehoming Penny is that a few weeks ago she saw or heard something that scared her and bit our other dog. She got him by the ear and would not let go until I pulled her off.

Meet Clyde! This deaf sweetheart is looking for a compassionate and understanding forever home that will give him the unconditional love and acceptance he deserves. He's an incredibly loving and playful puppy who has great dog manners, and eagerly makes friends with dogs of all sizes. He needs a home with dog companions to stay happy and fulfilled, and would love to join your friendly and social pack. He's smart, eager to please, and sure to respond well to consistent positive reinforcement training. Clyde has been doing fabulously well in foster care, his foster mom tells us "He has been a super sweet house guest and has taught our middle-aged Vizsla to play. He has learned to sit and is on his way to learning to lie down. He doesn't like to be alone so it's pretty easy to get him to go places, come in from the yard etc. He loves to snuggle on the couch and the bed (usually sleeps using my legs as a pillow!). He did great at the Pet Food Express adoption Pop-Up events, he was great with all other dogs and wanted to meet them all. He is good on leash, especially when he has another dog to keep him moving. He much prefers to free range in our yard to do his business. He likes to chase shadows and can get stuck in a loop but it's easy to distract and redirect. This behavior happens much less if he gets a nice long walk that day". He can't wait to join a home that has done their deaf dog research and is excited to welcome him into their family!
