Please contact Paul Slebzak (pauls@luckydoganimalrescue.org) for more information about this pet.sweet girl looking for her forever home! PASO NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!! Come meet Paso and other great adoptable dogs this Saturday (12/21) from 12-2 pm at the The Big Bad Woof in Washington, DC (6960 Maple St NW, Washington, DC 20012)!   Name:    Paso       Best Guess for Breed:    Coonhound mix   Best Guess for Age:    2 years as of Sept. 2024        Gender:    Female Approximate Weight:    44 lbs Gets Along With: Other dogs! We haven’t seen Paso with cats or kids, but she can be tested! Currently Living At:   DC area foster home. Check out some extra pictures and videos from Paso's foster here: https://photos.app.goo.gl/FPiepU1szqCkkVew7 (You may need to click 'Open in New Window' if viewing this profile in a pop-up window)   Special Adoption Considerations: Paso  is heartworm positive, but this Lucky Dog got extra lucky! This pup is part of a groundbreaking study we are conducting at our South Carolina Rescue Campus that has the potential to change the way shelters across the United States treat heartworm positive dogs.  All dogs in the study are placed at random in either the 2 shot or 3 shot protocol with strictly monitored protocols in place. Four weeks following their final injection, the pups are eligible to transport to the DC area for placement in foster or adoptive care.  After treatment concludes, we work with adopters to arrange a free follow up heartworm test after 6 months, followed by a second test at 9 months.  We are happy to discuss this treatment and which phase of the study this Lucky Dog is in right now! Just email the adoption coordinator - the address is at lower left! Paso is Looking For:  Meet Paso, a gorgeous female coonhound with a striking tricolor coat of brown, black, and white. She's currently waiting for her forever home at a shelter in South Carolina, where she's stealing hearts with her soulful eyes and gentle demeanor. Paso is a perfect blend of elegance and charm, ready to embark on new adventures with a loving family who can appreciate her playful spirit and loyal nature. Paso’s hound instincts shine through in her love for exploring and following scents, making her an ideal companion for outdoor adventures, long walks, or even cozy days in the yard. She’s full of affection and would love nothing more than to curl up next to you after a day of play. If you’re looking for a sweet, active, and loyal companion, Paso might just be the perfect addition to your family! What My Foster Says About Me: Paso is doing great! She settled in very quickly. She really enjoys long walks, sniffing everything, and chasing leaves blowing in the wind. I haven't really seen her get tired of it no matter how far we walk. Once we're back home she is content lounging in her bed throughout the day. She really loves getting attention and hugs, and is eager to learn new things with praise as the reward. She has no problem staying in her crate to sleep for the night. Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken.  All of our dogs are working on their crate training.  TO ADOPT: The adoption fee for this dog is $475, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations, spay/neuter, and heartworm treatment.  If you are interested in adopting, please complete the Adoption Questionnaire online at bit.ly/adoptaluckydog Lucky Dog Animal Rescue does our best to provide accurate information about the dogs we have for adoption. Story
Introducing Adorable Sami Meet Sami, a delightful spayed female, a charming mix of Redbone and Harrier. This sweet girl was discovered as a stray and ended up in an overcrowded animal shelter, where, sadly, no one came forward to claim her, and there was little adoption interest. Despite being placed on the euthanasia list due to limited space and no reclaim, Sami's fate took a positive turn when she was transferred to our rescue. Sami is a joy to walk, settles well in her kennel, adores toys and affection, and is an absolute love bug. Not only is she friendly with both dogs and cats, but she also enjoys playful interactions with them. The mystery of how Sami ended up abandoned is perplexing, but what's clear is that this sweetheart is in need of a forever family committed to providing her the love and care she deserves. Sami has been fully vetted, spayed, and is now ready for a new home. If you feel a connection with this endearing girl, please visit our website at https://serendipityanimalrescue.org for more information or to submit an application.

Story
Meet Penny. She is a sweetheart. Penny does very well with other dogs and puppies. She hasn’t been around children but I think she would do great around kids given her gentle nature around puppies. She is still intact but has never been bred. Penny does great on a leash. If you enjoy hiking or jogging she would be a great companion.

LOWER ADOPTION/TRANSPORT FEE $250 Meet Ronny, a lively 1 ½ year old Redbone Coonhound/Beagle mix who wears a short red and white coat. He's a bundle of joy, always ready to play and spread cheer! He loves playing fetch! He's smart, too! He knows sit, shake, and lie down. Ronny weighs around 45 pounds. His sweet disposition makes him a wonderful companion, his playful nature a source of endless amusement. Ronny was adopted as a pup and after one year of living in his home they had to return him because they could no longer care for him. Ronny walks well on a leash, making him a perfect partner for your morning strolls or evening jogs! Despite his energetic nature, he is also incredibly gentle, making him suitable for families with children. And he's a real cuddle bug! Adopt Ronny and bring home not just a pet, but a loyal friend and a ray of sunshine! (ME, 5/2/24) (revised 11/9/24) LOWER ADOPTION/TRANSPORT FEE $250 **It is rare that we know with certainty the ages or mixes that make up our dogs, but we do our best to be as accurate as possible based upon our experience. ** Adoption fee: $395 covers quarantine, shots, worming, medical records, spaying/neutering, microchip, and an Alabama State Health Certificate. Transport, if needed, is $160. We consider the transport to be of great importance and, as such, take particular care of the dogs during the trip. We make every effort to arrive with healthy and minimally stressed dogs. Adoption fees for Hope dogs and those who have been at rescue for prolonged amounts of time are reduced to $150 plus a $100 transport fee, as notated in their listings.November 13, 2024, 5:20 pm
