Hi, I’m Sheila! I’m a stunning, high-energy redbone coonhound with a big heart and an even bigger personality. True to my breed, I’m always ready for adventure, whether it’s exploring a big backyard, going for long walks, or playing with other dogs. I love having canine companions, so a home with other dogs would be a dream come true for me. I’m looking for an experienced adopter who understands my energy levels and needs. A securely fenced yard is a must—my hound nose might lead me on a little adventure if I get the chance! I’m an active girl who thrives on structure, attention, and plenty of exercise to keep me happy and healthy. My daddies love me so much, and they’ve given me the best life they can. But they’ve realized that I need more time, attention, and activity than they can provide right now. It’s a tough decision for them, but they want what’s best for me. If you’re looking for a loyal, playful, and adventurous companion, I just might be your girl.

Story
Our daughter was driving home from school one rainy night and found her along the side of the road. She was severely underweight but very friendly. We brought her home and she has been with us for the last three months. We have two dogs and a cat and she has never acted aggressively towards any of them. She is not a fan of the water but is able to run freely off her leash and does not run off. She responds to her new name and always comes when called. She is a very loving dog and would make a great companion but we do not have the space for another large dog.
