He loves playing fetch! He's smart, too! He knows sit, shake, and lie down. Ronny weighs around 45 pounds. His sweet disposition makes him a wonderful companion, his playful nature a source of endless amusement. Ronny was adopted as a pup and after one year of living in his home they had to return him because they could no longer care for him. Ronny walks well on a leash, making him a perfect partner for your morning strolls or evening jogs! Despite his energetic nature, he is also incredibly gentle, making him suitable for families with children. And he's a real cuddle bug! Adopt Ronny and bring home not just a pet, but a loyal friend and a ray of sunshine! (ME, 5/2/24) (revised 11/9/24) LOWER ADOPTION/TRANSPORT FEE $250 **It is rare that we know with certainty the ages or mixes that make up our dogs, but we do our best to be as accurate as possible based upon our experience. ** Adoption fee: $395 covers quarantine, shots, worming, medical records, spaying/neutering, microchip, and an Alabama State Health Certificate. Transport, if needed, is $160. We consider the transport to be of great importance and, as such, take particular care of the dogs during the trip. We make every effort to arrive with healthy and minimally stressed dogs. Chuck (formerly Duke) did not spend long at the shelter before a family fell in love with him and is currently fostering him until a more suitable home is found. Chuck is obedient — knows commands: sit, lay, paw, come, leave it, stay and his name — friendly, housebroken and generally easy to manage, but living with small children is not ideal for him in the long run. Chuck likes his chews, his toys and his space which sometimes is breached by well-meaning children who want to love him at inappropriate times. He is a friendly dog and loves other dogs as well! Originally surrendered by his owner who was moving, Chuck was at a local pound in WV until he was seen walking through the ER doors of a nearby hospital and spotted by one of the shelter’s volunteers. The ER staff said he had been coming in for a week. Estimated between 2 and 4 years old and is approximately 55 lbs. We will be happy to arrange for you to meet Chuck by appointment while he hangs with his foster family till he can call some new place home.

She also loves her treats, and will sit like a lady for them. She does rather well walking on the leash, but as we all know with hounds, if she gets her nose on a spot she likes she stops right in her tracks. She is sweet as can be and is just an overall wonderful girl with a fun loving and goofy personality to match. She will need help with her potty training and other basic commands. Say hello to happy-go-lucky Waylen! This happy hound boy was brought to us as a stray and is looking for a home to call his own! Waylen is a very talkative pup, and loves to run around the yard to play or sniff. He will need some work on his leash manners as he gets very excited when he is out and about and tends to pull on the leash. He does significantly better when on a harness and would do best walking on that compared to a collar. Waylen is very treat motivated, and very smart and will be excited to learn more with a patient owner! At this time Waylen knows sit, paw with both feet, and down! His favorite toy has been anything that makes noises and that he can chase around the yard! Waylen has been picky with the dogs he befriends and would do better as the only dog in the home or with a calm, non-reactive dog. He is very interested in cats, and may not be the best fit for any feline friends. This happy boy has done amazing with kids! He is very respectful and gentle with children of all sizes and would not mind having young human friends in his forever home!
