Story
Between December 1st and 17th, part of my adoption fee is sponsored! Thanks to the Bissell Pet Foundation's Empty the Shelters campaign, my new family can take me home for $25!
Come meet me and 100+ of my adoptable friends at Louie's Legacy Animal Rescue's MEGA adoption event, Home for the Holidays! Saturday, December 14th, 2024 at Immanual Union Church (693 Jewett Ave, Staten Island, NY 10314) from 11am-3pm.
Meet Carmine! Carmine is a 6 year old Redbone Coonhound who loves string cheese, Dentley's Pumpkin and Chicken chew sticks and belly rubs.
His superpowers are turning a pat on the head into a belly rub, sniffing, and finding a comfortable spot on the sofa. Though he takes a little bit to warm up to new people and other dogs, once he gets to know you he'll be your best friend! True to his hound dog nature, he loves going for walks and sniffing new smells.
In terms of house training, Carmine is house broken and will let you know when he needs to go out. He is working on some commands and loves to earn treats for a job well done! Some of his favorite things are toys that squeak and make a crinkly sound, pup cups from Ben and Jerry's, and peanut butter.
If you're looking for a mature dog who loves nature walks and snoozing on the couch, who will make you feel special when you've gotten that first kiss/snuggle, then Carmine is your guy!
Carmine is currently being fostered in Queens, NY. His adoption fee is $325.
To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt
All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals.
For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible.
We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.
