Story
Introducing Adorable Sami Meet Sami, a delightful spayed female, a charming mix of Redbone and Harrier. This sweet girl was discovered as a stray and ended up in an overcrowded animal shelter, where, sadly, no one came forward to claim her, and there was little adoption interest. Despite being placed on the euthanasia list due to limited space and no reclaim, Sami's fate took a positive turn when she was transferred to our rescue. Sami is a joy to walk, settles well in her kennel, adores toys and affection, and is an absolute love bug. Not only is she friendly with both dogs and cats, but she also enjoys playful interactions with them. The mystery of how Sami ended up abandoned is perplexing, but what's clear is that this sweetheart is in need of a forever family committed to providing her the love and care she deserves. Sami has been fully vetted, spayed, and is now ready for a new home. If you feel a connection with this endearing girl, please visit our website at https://serendipityanimalrescue.org for more information or to submit an application.

She is lucky enough to have landed in a wonderful foster home. Spider's foster family tells us she is one of the best foster pups they have had! For a puppy, she has a calm, sweet demeanor and is also a cuddle bug. She does still have her puppy moments playing and doing typical puppy antics! Her potty training is coming right along. She understands she should go potty outside, but she isn't quite perfect yet. Just a little more time and she'll have it down pat! Spider is also crate trained. She has been sleeping in her crate and goes the whole night with no accidents. And last but not least she LOVES playing with other dogs. She had a doggie visitor the other day and couldn't get enough of him. If Spider sounds like your kind of girl, fill out an application!  Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.           Adoption fees cover basic vetting, spay/neuter surgery (at partner vet if not fixed before adoption), rabies, distemper/parvo vaccinations, treatment for worms, heartworm testing, monthly heartworm prevention and monthly flea/tick prevention (while the animal is in our care), and transport costs from high-kill shelter. Please note that on average, K-9 Lifesavers spend significantly more on each dog than their adoption fee. Adoption fee for HW positive dog also covers heartworm treatment at our partner vets. Foster Program:    Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.  For more information on becoming a foster parent, and our Foster Program, visit  http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/foster/  or email our Foster Coordinator at  foster@k-9lifesavers.orgSponsor Me!    Make a  tax-deductible donation  today by visiting us at http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/donate/  . Story
Meet the handsome Millie, born in Texas on May 27, 2023, when her momma delivered 9 beautiful puppies. While her momma is believed to be a purebred Harrier, the identity of the daddy remains a mystery. Millie found her way to our rescue due to challenges in securing her a new home. Like many in Texas, Millie faced the risk of abandonment, poverty, starvation, sickness, or euthanasia without suitable homes. Her foster, struggling to ensure their safety, could no longer keep Millie or her siblings, leading to their transfer to our rescue in search of their forever homes. Millie is up-to-date on vaccines, microchipped, dewormed, and comes with a health certificate. This playful, smart, and laid-back pup is the perfect overall family companion, expected to reach about 50-60 pounds. If Millie has captured your heart, please visit our website: https://serendipityanimalrescue.org for more information.
