Story
Meet Scarlet, an almost 2-year-old redbone coonhound mix who is ready to find her forever home! She was found as a stray in Cherokee County, Alabama, alongside her sister's five puppies after her sister was tragically hit by a car. Scarlet was surrendered to Big Dog Ranch and is settling in quite well as she focuses on her health. Redbone coonhounds are known for their friendly disposition and strong hunting instincts. They are intelligent, energetic dogs that thrive on companionship and love to be active. Scarlet is eager to share her affectionate nature with a loving family. If you're looking for a loyal companion ready to embark on new adventures, Scarlet would be the perfect addition to your home!

Story
Valerie is about 4 years old and weighs 60 pounds. She’s a goofy happy girl who just wants to have fun! Sadly her dad has taken ill and is no longer able to care for her. She is looking for an active person or family that can provide her with the exercise she needs. She is dog friendly as well, but we’re not sure how she is with cats. She likes kids too but can be too rambunctious for little kids. Valerie’s adoption fee is $350.November 3, 2024, 8:28 am

Story
Meet Mateo – Your Loyal, Loving Companion! Mateo is an 80-pound dream dog who spent nine months in a loud, overwhelming shelter with over 100 other dogs. Because of that, he’s a little cautious at first, but underneath is the sweetest, most devoted soul just waiting for his person or family to love. In just seven days, we’ve already formed a strong bond—he looks to me for guidance and comfort, proving how loyal and connected he wants to be. He just needs a little patience to feel safe, and once he does, his heart is all yours. This boy is an absolute dream—completely potty trained with zero accidents! He’s still not a fan of the crate, but he knows his designated blanket by my bed is his safe space. When he needs some alone time, he’ll go there on his own. Mateo loves walks and is calm around other dogs, though he does get tempted to chase bunnies along the way. Mateo is ready to be someone’s best friend, adventure buddy, and loyal protector. Could that be you? To apply to adopt Mateo, please go to www.Pawsfurrecovery.org to fill out an application and we will contact you. Please make sure if you have other pets that they are all up-to-date on shots and spayed or neutered. We also require a home check for all potential adopters. Mateo looks forward to meeting you! The adoption fee for this sweet boy is $250. He is up-to-date on all shots, heartworm, negative, and neutered. He has been dewormed and he has no behavioral issues all he needs now is you!
