Story
Sierra #8 Sweet 1-year-old Sierra’s personality shines as brightly as her golden coat. At a fit 50 pounds, she’s an engaging combination of easygoing and playful, affectionate and loyal, quiet and energetic, and is paws-itively blooming in her foster home. Not only does Sierra love receiving her foster mom’s attention, she loves interacting with her doggy foster friends, gets along famously with the resident felines, and responds well to the structure and boundaries her fosters set. Fond of all toys, especially plush toys, she also loves chewing bones, playing fetch and going for walks, although she tends to sit and stare while walking, and is currently at work on improving her leash skills. Motivated by food, toys and love, Sierra already knows “come,” “sit” and “off,” and being highly intelligent and eager to please, is ever so easy to teach. Riding comfortably in the car, crate trained and almost fully house-trained, Sierra will shine best in a loving home that will complete her training, including her commands, and ensure that she’s kept mentally stimulated and physically satisfied fur-ever. Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes every pet should find a wonderful and caring home. To ensure each pet finds the best possible home, we ask you fill out our adoption application so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application in the order submitted and will contact you within 48 hours (please check your spam folder for our emails). If you and the dog are a good match then we'll connect you with our dog's foster parents to chat more in-depth. If both you and the foster agree that the dog is a good fit then a meet and greet is scheduled. We require applicants' dogs to meet ours to ensure they get along. We'll ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee to complete the adoption when it comes time. Our adoption fees help cover the costs of saving more lives!  A home visit will be scheduled within one week of your new pet going home with you.  The adoption fee for this pet is $375. Our adoption fee covers the following: Spay/neuter Microchip DAPP vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog.  Rabies vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Adopters shall be responsible for all vaccinations after adoption. Please fill out an adoption application by clicking  here . Please give us 48 hours to review your application and respond to you. (Remember to check your spam folder for our emails!) We want our pets to go to a lifelong new home, so thank you for your patience during the adoption process! Please email dogs@arrcolorado.org for more information, as we can't accept calls. PLEASE NOTE:  The breed listed is the information we've received from the shelter.  Shelters usually guess at the breed, so there is no guarantee, as we don't DNA test our foster pets.  Here is some interesting info on breed identification:  https://arrcolorado.org/category/puppy-dog-tips/ Our adoption process is: 1. Fill out our Adoption Application online.  We'll contact you within 48 hours to answer any questions you may have about the pet. 2. If the pet looks like a great match, we'll schedule a meet and greet and ask you to fill out our online Adoption Agreement if you'd like to proceed with adopting.  Once you've completed the Adoption Agreement and pay the pet's Adoption Fee, you can arrange to pick up your new furry family member! Story
Hi, my name is Rascal. I am an 18 mo old redbone coonhound. I am neutered and up to date on all of my vaccinations. I do not have any health issues. I weigh about 70lbs. I am a sweet boy who loves to cuddle. I am very smart and curious. I would do well with someone who is active and could give me a job to do or can take me out in the woods to hike/play. I learn very quickly and am eager to please. I am house-trained and crate trained. I am also e-collar trained and use a mat for place. I have not been around small children or cats, but I am very friendly and playful with bigger children and other dogs. I am fairly quiet compared to my sibling but will bark at times at other dogs when I am staring at the window. My dad has a medical condition that causes ear sensitivity, and the tone of my bark is very painful for him. This is why I have to find a new home. My mom will need to interview you to see if you will be a good fit. She will personally transport me to the right
