He is a semi energetic dog that love humans and likes other dogs his size (esp his Chi foster brother s/sisters) and LOVES humans (esp snuggling on human couch or human bed). He loves dog beds, doggie blankets, dog harnesses and clothes. He is a great companion for active person or just retired couple with a securely fenced yard that like small dogs.. He will be okay with small dog polite children (over 8 yrs of age) or no children. Small dog experience is recommended. He is an indoor dog. He likes walks and car rides L & S Dog Diggity Rescue is headquartered in San Antonio, Texas, where there are over 350,000 homeless pets. We save homeless and abandoned dogs and find them loving forever homes in other areas, where pet homelessness is not epidemic. All of our pets are located here, in San Antonio, and we partner with rescues to provide transportation for our pets to their new homes. Our adoption fee includes vet care (vaccinations, spay/neuter, microchipping, etc), as well as transportation and health certificate. Norma Jean is a mellow dog. She is skittish to noises. She does not play with toys and is very obedient to common commands and walks well on a leash. She is house trained and seems to approach the outside door and stand to stare at it. I have encouraged her with certain words like do you need to go out? And she would give a very low tone bark. She seems to have issues with other dogs. At the dog park she has nothing to do with them and kind of stays off to the side on her own. She’s a loner. She eats well. I leave out dry food and a freshwater bowl and she eats as needed. She loves the soft dog treats as a reward after doing her business outside. She hast to be lifted onto a bed and she sleeps well through the night. She likes to cuddle. Stand still when you wash her and is very cooperative in nail clipping.

Meet Tina! She is a 1 year old rat terrier/heeler mix rescued with her mom, sister and younger siblings after being dumped in a bad area of town. She is very submissive and a little shy at first but wants she warms up she loves belly rubs! She get's that from her mom! She is great with other dogs of all sizes but prefers medium and small dogs. The bigger dogs make her a little nervous. She is working on leash walking, potty training and crate training. She is currently 23 lbs with long legs. She is just a sweet girl looking for love and a place to lounge around! Tammy is available for adoption with Saving Grace Dog Rescue of San Antonio. The adoption fee is $195 local or $395 out of state with transport. An adoption application and adoption contract are all required. Debonair 11-year-old Jax is an active and smart boy who will be a wonderful companion for the right family! Jax is a 25 lb. rat terrier. He is in excellent physical condition after beating cancer (a mast cell tumor on his belly). Jax loves sunning himself, walking, jogging, playing with stuffed animals, and chasing a ball. He gets along well with small dogs he's introduced to in his home environment. He has been very nice to his foster siblings but can be protective of his space and might correct another dog who touches or steps on him with a yowl and small snap. Jax would be fine as a single dog or with a respectful smaller dog. Jax should not live with cats or other small pets. He does also have a bit of anxiety which has been greatly reduced with a stable schedule and increased exercise. Jax barks at the door when he needs to go out and is perfectly housetrained. He can be trusted to be free indoors and doesn't get into the trash, counter surf, or chew items.
