Story
Meet Suki! She’s about 4 years old, weighs 14 pounds and looks like a Jack Russell/Rat Terrier mix. She was found stray, and she’s still skittish at the rescue. She’s coming out of her shell and getting more social with people she knows, and we’ll update as we get to know her more!IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adoptAll of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. If you are seeing our pets posted in your state, that's because you live near a transport stop, they are not currently at that location. Petfinder lists our pets as 'Out of Town' pets at other locations, and Adopt-a-Pet lists our location as a Transport stop. Those are currently the only options they offer to make this clear, so we put this description we've put at the bottom to explain it. You can read more about transport here: www.charmingpetrescue.org/transportWe understand transport is not an option for everyone, but we offer it at the cost we pay the transport company for those who wish to adopt from us.March 8, 2025, 10:48 am

Meet Dari❤️ Dari was brought to the Gimje Shelter with her six puppies. Despite having skin diseases all over her body, she took care of her babies but one of them passed away. With the cold winter coming soon, Adogs was very concerned about the health of Dari and her pippies, and urgently rescued them. * With People: Needs some time to warm up to strangers. Approaches when called but might get startled if you suddenly raise your hand. Feels more comfortable and gives her face to familiar people. * With Dogs: Gets along well with other dogs at our center without any issues. * Separation Anxiety: Not confirmed as she resides with other dogs at our center. * Potty Training: May use potty pads but goes potty outside at our center. Training may be necessary in a new environment. * Hygiene: Accepts baths and nail trimming very well. Dislikes dry blowing but tolerates it when she is cuddled. * Walks: Is undergoing training to get accustomed to walks. No pulling on the leash. * Car Sickness: Rides in the car very well without motion sickness. ❗Health Status❗ * Spayed. * Microchipped. * She is diagnosed with parasitic skin disease and is receiving treatment. It's not contagious! * Her fur is growing back after losing it due to her skin disease.

Story
Debonair 11-year-old Jax is an active and smart boy who will be a wonderful companion for the right family! Jax is a 25 lb. rat terrier.  He is in excellent physical condition after beating cancer (a mast cell tumor on his belly).  Jax loves sunning himself, walking, jogging, playing with stuffed animals, and chasing a ball. He gets along well with small dogs he's introduced to in his home environment. He has been very nice to his foster siblings but can be protective of his space and might correct another dog who touches or steps on him with a yowl and small snap. Jax would be fine as a single dog or with a respectful smaller dog.  Jax should not live with cats or other small pets. He does also have a bit of anxiety which has been greatly reduced with a stable schedule and increased exercise.  Jax barks at the door when he needs to go out and is perfectly housetrained. He can be trusted to be free indoors and doesn't get into the trash, counter surf, or chew items. Jax might have a tough exterior, but he has a soft, loving heart for someone who is willing to take the time to understand him.See more photos of Jax at https://imageevent.com/newrattitude/jax .Beginning March 1, 2025, our adoption fee is $250 for adult dogs or $300 for puppies under 6 months old. Story
Boomer narrowly avoided being euthanized in an overcrowded New Mexico shelter but was luckily saved when a kind foster home pulled him at the last moment. From there, Boomer was transported with 15 other lucky pups to Washington where he is being fostered.   Boomer is about 2 years-old and weighs 20 lbs. He is a curious guy with plenty of energy, an adventurous spirit, and a sweet personality. He's also a massive cuddle-bug and loves to be with his humans. He can get anxious on leash when he sees other dogs and can pull and bark. He doesn't mind being picked up or handled as long as it's gently and with care. He hasn't been around kids but is likely to be okay with gentle and mature children. With his playful demeanor and friendly nature, Boomer is sure to bring joy and laughter to his new forever home. He's a smart and curious dog who loves to explore and learn new things.   Boomer is reliably house-trained after his neuter. However, he will need to be let outside on a schedule since he doesn't yet ask to go outside. Boomer does chase small animals and has a normal terrier prey drive. Therefore, he cannot be in a home with cats or other small animals. Boomer loves to chew and prefers plastic toys! However, if he doesn't receive enough exercise he may get anxious and chew items he finds around the home. He is a clever boy and needs to be mentally and physically stimulated or he finds ways to entertain himself! This lucky and lovable rescue may just be the right guy for you. Story
Hi my name is Mango because I am sweet and tangy! I am so happy to see you looking at my profile. I love my foster home, but I am ready to find my forever home. I am a curious and fairly active girl. I walk well on a leash and am pretty calm when meeting other dogs on the walk. But a good introduction to new dogs is always the best. I live with many dogs now and get along with most of them really well. I have not lived with cats or young children but they could be fun. If you are looking for an active, sweet, and loving gal then just fill in the application we could meet on a Zoom call. Lots of love to giveMango To get more information go to https://hope4lapawz.org/adopt and click on the dog's photo. There you will see any videos, more photos and details.
