**Now fostered in Truxton, NY** If you are looking for a tiny queen with a spunky personality and amazing agility skills, then look no further than our bitty friend, Bambi! We believe Bambi is a chihuahua mix who is 5 years old and approximately 25 pounds. Due to her being a rescue, age and breed cannot be guaranteed. She’s a certified Texas Special, a mix of random breeds that created the best dog! Rescue is the best breed! She's all about play wrestling, play chase with her dog friends around the yard, and bringing bouncy fun playful energy to the yard. Whether she's tumbling with a buddy or zooming across the grass in a bouncy game of tag you're it, she's happiest when the vibes are silly and all about that fun. Some of her best friends are confident dogs that will rough house with, body bump, wrestle to the ground, and it's so entertaining to watch. In a home, she would do best with a confident friend that loves to play, enjoys those wrestling matches, is up for a game of chase, and knows when to take play breaks on their own. So if you're searching for a pup that will satisfy your current dog's playful energy and wanting that playtime entertainment in the backyard, Bambi is definitely your gal. If you don't have other dogs, no need to worry! Bambi's love is boundless and her personality is out of this world that she will be all you need. Bambi also did great when she met some cats on the property! She wanted to sniff them and tried to initiate play, lol. If she were to be in a home with a cat, it would definitely need to be a dog savvy feline who doesn’t mind the occasional puppy sniffs! She spent few days in her temporary foster home with a kitty and she did wonderfully! She did want to play with her new feline friend, so Bambi may not be every kitties cup of tea. But she sure is ours! She is a smaller girl who would do well in an apartment or house setting. But it’s important to note that when you offer her treats, she does say “please” in a loud way. So if you are in an apartment, thicker walls or cool neighbors would be best. She hasn’t been around small children but she has been fine around teens! We believe she would do well in a home with dog savvy older children who would enjoy spending time playing fetch and other games with her! Oh my goodness, is Scooter Bug not the cutest little nugget ever? He’s a pint-sized bundle of love with satellite ears that could pick up signals from space! This little guy may be small, but his heart is huge. Scooter Bug is a people-lover who just needs a minute to warm up, then he’s all about snuggles, cuddles, and being your little sidekick. He is a rescue dog and with any rescue, it’s always a mystery and we cannot guarantee breed or age. Scooter Bug is a people-lover who just needs a minute to warm up, then he’s all about snuggles, cuddles, and being your little sidekick. His foster mom says that one of her favorite thing about him is the way he sleeps. She says he will sleep on your pillow, belly up, and sometimes his wittle tongue just barely sticks out LOL. That’s not the only thing she loves about him though and let’s be honest, we’re sure there is an extensive list of all the things she loves about him, because what is there not to love! She says her absolute favorite thing about him is the way he just loves to be with you. It doesn’t matter what you’re doing, where you’re going, he just wants to be included and to be loved. Scooter is the definition of a people’s dog, hands down and in all the best ways. He also makes a great work from buddy too! His foster mom says that she just puts a blanket down for him and he curls right up, or he’s snuggled in her lap or laying by her feet. He’s incredibly dog-friendly, currently thriving in a foster home with two big dogs and gets along great with them. One of his foster siblings is a 50 lb pittie mix and Scooter loves to play with him! His foster mom says that they love to wrestle with each other and Scooter even attempts to “over power” the pittie with is little body in a game of tug of war LOL. It’s quite entertaining. Scooter also does great with his other foster’s dog too who is a 80lb Great Dane mix. Safe to say that Scooter Bug is completely comfortable with dogs 3x his size and even the playful ones. The funny thing is, we think he actually prefers to be around bigger dogs rather than dogs his size. When he met a small scruffy dog his size, Scooter was not interested in being besties. They shared space with each other and Scooter was fine being around him but he just tolerated his existence LOL. Now when we brought out a bigger dog, literally 3x his size, Scooter immediately opened up and wanted to be besties with her. So if you have dogs, Scooter will like them big! Well at least way bigger than him. Scooter is also currently being fostered in a home with a cat as well and he did great when he met our house cat Biggie. His foster says that Scooter gets curious when her cats gets up to do something and follows her around. Like he's being noisy and just wants to see what she is up to. Scooter was the same way with Biggie as well. He may chase every now and then, but it's more about just following the cat to see what's going on LOL. Nothing more. Scooter was even playing with Biggie at one point too! He has the kind of easygoing personality that allows him to thrive in many living situations. He would do very well in an apartment or condo setting, especially with someone who enjoys daily walks and a relaxed routine. His well-balanced energy level and polite leash manners make him a great neighbor-friendly companion. He would also be perfectly happy in a suburban home with a backyard, where he could enjoy sniffing around, sunbathing, and lounging after his walks. While he’d appreciate outdoor access, he doesn’t rely on a yard to be fulfilled, his happiness comes from companionship, not square footage. Meet Castiel! Castiel is currently 8 months old, and we think he may be a wire hair terrier and chihuahua mix, but with rescue it’s always a guess! This puppy is from a part of the US where puppies are regularly euthanized. So, this puppy needs you! If you choose a puppy from this rescue, it saves their life AND it also allows us to save the life of another in its place. Castiel is a joyful boy with a wiry coat, probably moderate to low shedder, and he’s young so he has spunky energy. He likes toys and playing with kids! He tries to instigate play and engagement. Castile is so unique and beautiful! Everywhere we take him, people talk about how unique he is! Castiel is a Good little guy! He played with Jessica - another small playful dog- and he is not too pushy with his play, for a puppy. He played chase for a little bit and would come back up to me to sit next to my feet. Once he got tired he would lay down in front of me and relax taking all the affection he could get. He is a puppy so he will need some training as he gets older, but he will learn quickly because he is very much a people pleaser. When he met my kids ages 4 and 7, he was joyful and wanted to engage with them. He’s very trusting and outgoing. He does like toys and wants to initiate play. He met a cat with us and was uninterested. Castiel is a special boy who doesn't let anything slow him down. He is hearing impaired but is still fully capable of jumping up on the couch for a romp and a snuggle. Our PNW dogs are brought to you in style by a beautiful USDA licensed semi-truck, equipped with air conditioning for comfort, two drivers, and 2 onboard attendants providing 24 hour care. Our East Coast route will travel in a private, air conditioned 3LP-run van transport. Pick up day is unforgettable! You will get to follow along on their journey through a private FB Event page, where you will see photos, have the opportunity to connect with other adopters, and receive updates and constant communication along the way. The adoption fee is $1000.00 and includes all vetting as recommended by our doctor: DAPP (2 to 4 depending on age and time in the program), Bordetella, Rabies vaccine (if old enough), multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, 2 months of heartworm preventative, extended medical such as dentals, eye surgeries, and orthopedic surgeries prior to adoption when suggested by our partner vets, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar for dogs over 4 months old, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and many priceless years of love and loyal companionship! *WE ARE TOLD THAT WE GO ABOVE AND BEYOND MEDICALLY. This is the feedback we tend to get, although we cannot guarantee perfect health. *To fully vet a dog in the PNW or the NE at many vets it would be upwards of $1,800 just to fix, vaccinate, chip, etc. The adoption fees charged by our rescue do not cover our expenses medically for each animal, but we offset costs with donations.
