Meet Tina! She is a 1 year old rat terrier/heeler mix rescued with her mom, sister and younger siblings after being dumped in a bad area of town. She is very submissive and a little shy at first but wants she warms up she loves belly rubs! She get's that from her mom! She is great with other dogs of all sizes but prefers medium and small dogs. The bigger dogs make her a little nervous. She is working on leash walking, potty training and crate training. She is currently 23 lbs with long legs. She is just a sweet girl looking for love and a place to lounge around! Tammy is available for adoption with Saving Grace Dog Rescue of San Antonio. The adoption fee is $195 local or $395 out of state with transport. An adoption application and adoption contract are all required. All dogs are spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations appropriate for their age, microchipped, and wormed for internal and external parasites. If you would like more information please email us at sgdrsa@outlook.com. An adoption application can be completed online at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/SGDR/Dog Please note that visual breed identification in rescue dogs is unreliable so for most of our dogs we are only GUESSING at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.

Story
Minnie is the sweetest, best cuddler, definitely a Velcro pup and adorably cute. Minnie is housetrained and has gotten along great with resident Aussie/retreiver mix. They sleep next to each other and like to run around and play in backyard. Minnie has won over the humans in the foster household, as well! The times she has been left alone for short periods of time, she is very happy to be on one of her humans beds and is very well behaved. Minnie is just the best! If you're looking for a bestie, come and get me - I won't be hanging around in foster care for long! Minnie is spayed and up-to-date on vaccines. The adoption fee for this dog is $425 which includes routine vetting and spay/neuter. PetConnect Rescue cannot guarantee the exact breed of any animal in our care. The breed listed is based on any background we may have been provided, and the general appearance of the animal at the time they enter our system. Story
Junior is a sweet, snuggly, 8-year-old 19 lb. terrier-chihuahua mix. He arrived from the shelter with a fractured pelvis that seemed to heal on its own, just a bit crooked, but he went from guarding his left leg at the shelter to being completely weaned off any meds while in foster care! Even though he probably had an unfortunate encounter with a car, he has normal musculature on both hind legs. Junior's confidence continues to increase with lots of daily walks as his physical therapy-- he can walk 2+ miles at a time and has just started using the wood stairs inside with stair treads! Junior is happy to be getting two meals a day, so much so that his prey drive is greatly reduced. He will love to snuggle next to you on the sofa and delights to go on walks. While walking, if you keep a brisk pace, he will keep up with you, but if you slow down, he might just take the opportunity to roll in the grass- especially when it is warm outside.  Junior gets along with his foster siblings but can still be a bit unpredictable when meeting new dogs outside. He might bark outside when he sees things ahead (people or dogs) but is easily redirected and is learning that many neighbors give scratches and he will sit politely at their feet taking it all in. Junior is still learning to play with toys. As a big bonus- he is almost completely house-trained! Junior's best home is one where he is the only pup, and his humans are home most of the time. He is crate-trained but would prefer not to be crated. He has been very good with children in the neighborhood, giving kisses and taking treats, but because of his injury, would probably be best in a home without small children. Due to his asymmetrical pelvis with some limited range of motion in his left leg, we are looking for a local adopter who is able to meet handsome, sweet Junior. You can see more photos and videos of him at https://imageevent.com/newrattitude/junior . Our adoption fee is $200 for adult dogs or $250 for puppies under 6 months old. If you are interested in adopting this dog, PLEASE READ THE DETAILED ADOPTION PROCESS information on our website at www. My name is Taz. I’m a 10-year-old Jack Russell mix who’s learning to open up to the world around me. Life didn’t start off easy for me, but I’m looking forward to a safe, happy future in a loving home.PersonalityI’m a bit nervous around new people and situations, but I find comfort in being with my brother, Tom. I like to follow his lead and sometimes hide behind him when I’m feeling unsure. A quiet home with a peaceful environment would be ideal for me as I build confidence.Skills and TrainingI’m still learning the basics like leash walking and potty training, but my foster mom says I’m making progress. ADOPT ME ONLINE: https://ophrescue.org/dogs/13945**$100 off of adoption fee in December!Meet Tom – Your Gentle Companion with a Heart Ready to Heal Name: Tom Gender: Male Breed: Jack Russell Mix Age: 10 years Weight: 14 lbs Current Location: King William, VA About Tom Hi! I’m Tom, a 10-year-old Jack Russell mix with a gentle soul and a lot of love to give. My early years weren’t easy, but thanks to my foster mom, I’m learning to trust humans and embrace my new, happy life. Personality I’m a bit of a quiet, reserved gentleman, but each day I grow more comfortable with affection and attention. My foster mom says I’m blossoming and am even starting to enjoy pets and the occasional cuddle. I’m looking for a calm, patient home where I can continue to build my confidence and know I’m safe and loved. Energy Level I’m moderately active and love a good walk, though I still get a little nervous when the leash comes out. I’m also a bit of a jumper, so a tall fence would be great to keep me safe while I explore the yard. Skills and TrainingWhile I’m still working on potty training, I’m making progress every day. Since so much of this is new to me, I’ll need a family that understands my journey and can patiently support my growth. Companionship My ideal home would be a quiet, gentle one, with someone who has a soft touch and the time to help me grow into my best self. I’ve discovered that I love being around people once I get to know them and would be so happy to find a forever family who’s ready for a calm, loyal companion. Love and Affection I’m learning each day that life is better with love, and I can’t wait to share that with my new family! Could that be you?
