Story
She's a beautiful and loving dog with good energy. She knows the words sit and dance and food and water and outside. When your about to give her a treat count 1,2,3 and then she will sit up ready for her treat. She isn't picking with any food or snacks that I've noticed. She is good with my cat, loves being outside in the backyard and enjoying time with people n attention. Very loving and sweet natured. Moving out of state and I am not able to take her sadly. She's never been pregnant.

Story
Meet Tina! She is a 1 year old rat terrier/heeler mix rescued with her mom, sister and younger siblings after being dumped in a bad area of town. She is very submissive and a little shy at first but wants she warms up she loves belly rubs! She get's that from her mom! She is great with other dogs of all sizes but prefers medium and small dogs. The bigger dogs make her a little nervous. She is working on leash walking, potty training and crate training. She is currently 23 lbs with long legs. She is just a sweet girl looking for love and a place to lounge around! Tammy is available for adoption with Saving Grace Dog Rescue of San Antonio. The adoption fee is $195 local or $395 out of state with transport. An adoption application and adoption contract are all required. All dogs are spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations appropriate for their age, microchipped, and wormed for internal and external parasites. If you would like more information please email us at sgdrsa@outlook.com. An adoption application can be completed online at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/SGDR/Dog Please note that visual breed identification in rescue dogs is unreliable so for most of our dogs we are only GUESSING at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.

Transport available to Buffalo NY and Ontario Canada for an additional fee. Leona whom we call Nona, is apx 7-8 years young and weighs 18 pounds . She has gotten a tad chonky here with us and probably could stand to lose a pound or two. She is a rat terrier. Very smart, walks well on leash, appears potty trained. Good with other dogs but will let a younger hyper dog know when she has had enough playing and will growl. She is a confident dog with other dogs, not submissive but not overly dominant either. She tends to act like the stern grandmother of group. She likes to play and have a good time but when it is time for a nap and to watch her shows she wants to be left alone 😂 she could care less about the cats. But would probably growl at them if they tried to eat her food. Nona is not food aggressive with her dry food but gets a bit persnickety with her wet food or special treats. Nona is great with all people and children, very gentle. She has been around young children before as the people who found her had two young boys and Nona liked them very much. Nona’s rescue story is quite comical. Some people ordered a Pizza. The app said the pizza was delivered but there was no pizza on the step. After checking the ring cam, they discovered a stray dog took off with the entire box , large pizza included. The stray dog then ran into the neighbors garage with her stolen pizza and was found eating it. Those people ended up keeping the stray, now known as Nona for a few days until finding her a rescue. She came to us thin, a very bad coat, very dirty, she needed to be spayed, her teeth were all either falling out or broken, and she was heart worm positive. 3 months and a couple thousand dollars later, Nona has recovered and is ready for a home where she does not have to steal a pizza. She had a dental, she had her heart worm treatment and went through treatment with zero issues. She is a well mannered girl. She acts very much like a rat terrier in many ways but she does not have a prey drive. She is bossy in the morning about breakfast time. We tried to break this habit to no avail. She wants her breakfast. On time. No fussing around lol. She is an older girl that had a hard life. She deserves a second chance and a family that adores her and her weird rat terrier ways :)

Story
My story Here's what the humans have to say about me: Here's what the humans have to say about me: Oscar is an adorable Rat Terrier mix who is approximately 3-4 years old and currently weighs 15 pounds. He came to our rescue from a pretty stressful environment where there were 80 dogs all living in a small home together. Despite coming from these overcrowded living conditions , Oscar is a sweet little dog who is learning what it’s like to get lots of love and affection. Oscar is a tenderhearted little boy, who does need a warming up period to feel comfortable in his new surroundings. Coming from the home he was in, he was not handled very much, so he is still learning that one on one attention is a pretty wonderful thing. Once he settles in and learns to trust, his sweet personality will start to shine through. He does get along well with other dogs, and pretty much minds his own business! Oscar has bonded with his care givers here at the rescue and lets me love on him and give him treats! Watch his new video! Oscar is looking for a patient family who understands his background and can give him the loving home he deserves. We do think he would do better in a quieter home with older children. Oscar is located at our rescue in Hondo, Texas. He is neutered, up to date on all shots, microchipped and his adoption fee is $325. A meet and greet will be arranged with an approved application. If you would like to add this cutie to your family, please review our process and complete an application here- https://www.tracyspawsrescue.org/adopt Learn more about our rescue here: https://www.facebook.com/TracysPawsRescue Services our dogs receive prior to adoption: Chagas Testing, Heartworm and Tick Testing (age appropriate) All age-appropriate vaccines Heartworm and flea/tick preventatives Spay/neuter surgery Microchip
