Story
Meet Bobbie, the tiny pup with a big personality! Fate brought Bobbie and her rescuers together. Good Samaritans found the sweet little 9-pound pup, soaking wet, shivering, and missing a lot of fur. They named her Bobbie, in memory of their dog Bobby who was rescued from the same area and who had recently passed away. Since being rescued, Bobbie has gone from being shy an scared to being happy and playful. This little nugget would thrive with another doggo so they can play all day! She is totally crate-trained and doesn't make a peep at night. Fill out an application to meet sweet Bobbie! 🌷🐶 ADOPT SHILOH 🐶🌷 Shiloh is such a silly little character! She is nervous with new situations and people she doesn't know, but once you're inside her "circle of trust", she transforms into a sweet, sassy, funny girl. Shiloh will do anything for a treat. You can teach her just about anything you like...as long as you have snacks! 😁 This adorable little girl is so athletic and fast! She learns very quickly, but she's young and thrives with consistency, structure, and reinforcement. She can be a bit skittish with sudden movements or noises, so we don't think small children will be the best fit for her. She is snuggly and fun and full of big personality in a tiny pup. She's looking for a family who wants to spend time with her. She loves to be with her people. Please consider adding Shiloh to your family. ADOPTION APPLICATION: www.tinyurl.com/IADRAdoptionApp ***IMPORTANT- PLEASE READ*** Our adoption fee is $175. We require an application to be completed prior to setting up a meet-and-greet. We do not offer "on-the-spot" adoptions. We do not adopt on a first-come, first-served basis. We do our best to match dogs with families that will be a good fit to help ensure a successful adoption. We reserve the right to decline any application for any reason. Due to the nature of our adoption process, our fosters are usually only able to consider forever families within a reasonable driving distance of the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. A vet reference is required, and a trial period will be completed before finalizing the adoption. Thank you for your understanding.

Story
What's an energetic terrier to do when her humans can no longer work from home, and is suddenly left alone during the day? She dreams of a new home where she can get the attention, exercise, and stimulation that an active young 3-year-old craves! While Luna spends long days alone tolerantly resting in her crate, she fantasizes about the freedom to run, play fetch, chase critters, go on adventures, and impress people with all the tricks she knows (like rolling over, spinning, giving kisses, and balancing treats on her nose then tossing them into the air to catch!).  Luna yearns for snuggles, belly rubs, and lots of human interaction. Surely those are reasonable desires! She's reliably house-trained and has been working on being a calmer leash-walker. Though she's a lover, Luna is uptight about new people coming to the house and reacts with barking and jumping. After a few treats and a little time, she will accept the new friends and soon will be bringing them her toys for a game of fetch. Her alertness to strangers means she takes her guarding responsibilities seriously and she will notify you of suspicious noises or people outside. She would do best in a stand-alone home without shared walls, and in a quieter neighborhood. Luna loves most other dogs but she is a big girl for a rattie mix, weighing 35 lbs., so smaller, timid, or grumpy dogs could be annoyed by her persistent, playful energy. Her excitable nature and inclination to resource-guard high value treats also makes her unsuitable for young children. But beautiful Luna will be the perfect companion for active and engaged household whose members are home often. She's a super smart, highly affectionate, fun-loving girl! See more photos of Luna at www.imageevent.com/Newrattitude/luna .Our adoption fee is $200 for adult dogs or $250 for puppies under 6 months old. If you are interested in adopting this dog, PLEASE READ THE DETAILED ADOPTION PROCESS information on our website at www. NewRattitude.org/adopt/  From there, you can access our adoption application or contact our Adoption Team for more info. October 1, 2024, 9:03 pm

Story
Hudson is a 3 year old, 9 lb Rat Terrier/Chihuahua mix. He is a tiny, adorable dog with a huge personality that will keep you laughing all the time! He loves to play with other dogs and is always the first to make friends when new fosters come into the house. He can hold his own with big dogs and little dogs alike. His favorite activity is running zoomies, and he will run so hard and fast down the hall that he bounces off the wall...but he hops right back up and is ready for more. He also loves to explore the backyard and find the perfect stick or hunt down those annoying cicadas! Hudson doesn't live with kids, but we think he would be ok with kids ages 10 and over. Kids will need to understand that Hudson is not the type of dog to be chased or picked up. Hudson is cuddly and loves to snuggle at night, but prefers it on his own terms. He doesn't love being picked up...it scares him a little...but he is getting more used to it. Having other dogs around is a must for him as it gives him confidence and someone whose lead he can follow. He is housetrained with a dog door but is probably going to mark at first, so if that's a huge deal to you, he's not your dog (remember, he's tiny so the clean-up is negligible). Bring a smile to your face every day - take Hudson home with you! You can apply at www.humanetomorrow.org, and an adoption counselor will contact you.

Story
Hey there, yes, you! Are you looking for a sweet, playful man in your life? Well look no further because here I am. My name is Comet and I am just over a year old. I weigh around 45 pounds, I am potty and crate trained, however I do prefer to be with my people and I know how to use a doggie door. I love to run and play, be outside and chew on my nyla bones. I get along well with other playful dogs and would love to have a playmate around my own size. I do love all people but I would do better in a home with older children as the little ones don't seem to want to play with the same enthusiasm as I do. I enjoy long walks, meeting new people and I absolutely adore car rides. If you are looking for a playmate, walking mate or just a soul mate, then I am your dude! Let's set up a lunch date! **Because we require home visits, we only adopt locally to the Dallas/Fort Worth area. For more on adoption policies, please see the How it Works page of our website, www.habitat4paws.org.
