Story
Rosie is a 7 month old Rat Terrier mix and 21 lbs of pure love and joy. She adores her foster parents, foster dog brother, and she even likes the cat in the house! Rosie loves her toys and carries them around all day. She goes to doggie day care one day a week and is a big hit with the other dogs and employees! Rosie is energetic, inquisitive, and smart! She needs adopters who will provide her with plenty of physical activity and mental stimulation. She is still very much a puppy and a little rambunctious, but after playtime, she enjoys napping in her crate. Rosie is still in the puppy mouthing stage, so we are recommending no kids under the age of 10. Please submit your application, and an adoption counselor will contact you.

Story
Opalite is one of the pups from our Swifties group. She is a two year old, 9 lb Rat Terrier/Chihuahua mix. She and nine other small dogs were dumped on a country road in East Texas, and Humane Tomorrow took them all into our adoption program. Foster mom says that Opalite is very sweet but still unsure of this big world. She is ok with other small dogs, especially those about her size, as long as they are more settled. She does not play with other dogs or toys yet and her favorite spot is in your lap. She is a little anxious in a busy household. Not sure how she would do around young children, so best for older kids and above. Adopters will need to give her a few days to settle in and feel safe, then she will be the best lap dog ever. She has now been fully vetted and ready for adoption. If you would like to give Opalite a forever home that really does last forever, please submit your application, and an adoption counselor will contact you.

Story
Palmer is a little guy with a big personality—about 15 lbs and 1.5 years old. His adoption fee is $300, though we’re open to adjusting that for the right home. He’s been with us for 8 months, patiently waiting for someone to see past his initial nerves and give him the loving home he deserves. Palmer doesn’t warm up right away and may bite if he feels overwhelmed, but in a calm, predictable environment, he’s made great progress.Though he was originally labeled a bite risk, we’ve seen firsthand how quickly he can adjust—it only took a couple of days for him to bond with our new kennel techs. He just needs someone willing to give him a chance. 💛Palmer still shows stress around new people, so he’ll need someone who understands his boundaries and can give him space to decompress. He would thrive in a quiet, adult-only home with little foot traffic. He can be picky with dogs and would likely do best as the only pet, though he’s done well with three calm, respectful dogs currently in our care.If you have a calm home and a patient heart, Palmer could be the perfect fit. 🐾Since we do not observe these animals in home settings, we cannot guarantee whether they are housebroken. Upon intake, we ensure the following:Spay/neuter proceduresMicrochippingAll vaccinationsBlood and fecal testing (and treatment if necessary)Flea, tick, and heartworm preventionA complimentary wellness exam, scheduled 7–10 days after adoptionPlease note: Adopters must live within an hour of our facility and be at least 21 years old.Do you have any questions or would you like to schedule an appointment? 🐶💫
