Story
Brady is 4 years old. 31 pounds, Rat Terrier mix. He will win your heart over with his loyalty and expressive personality . He is such a ham. He is eager to please. He loves the outdoors and prefers to be able to roam freely in a larger yard. He does well on a leash or non- leash. He will come back to you when called. He makes a very good watch dog and will notify you by alerting you with his bark. He will stop barking when you tell him it is okay. He gets along with friendly dogs, cats and children. He is an indoor and outdoor dog. He loves to cuddle and get belly rubs. He is okay with being crated He sleeps with me. I have had Brady for 2.6 years and has brought so much joy in my life. He has learned to sit and shake. He likes his treats. When I first got Brady, he did not like car rides, now he is okay with it. I am so sad that I have to re home my best furry friend. I have to move and no pets are allowed. He is on heartworm, flea and tick.

Story
Meet Buffy This little nugget is a wonderful young pup. We rescued Buffy from a high kill shelter where she found herself on the euthanasia list. It seems she was neglected her whole life and then nearly lost it. Buffy deserves much more than life has shown her so far. Buffy is seven months old. She weighs only 25 lbs. She may grow a bit more to be medium sized. Based on her looks we are thinking she may have some rat terrier and maybe Jack Russell or Rottweiler but we just don't know for sure. What we do know is that Buffy is a happy girl. She loves people and other dogs. She eagerly greets her caregivers and volunteers. She has a happy tail wag, wiggly body and a sunny smile. She loves going onto the fenced yards. Buffy plays her heart out with whichever of our dogs are in the yards beside her. She runs up and down and play bows with them. Her tail wags endlessly. Buffy is outgoing, affectionate, friendly, eager, and active. She would do well with another dog in the family or perhaps might enjoy playgroups or doggie daycare. We’ll test how she does with cats for potential adopters. Buffy is learning her manners while with us. She’s soaking up all the attention we’re giving her and she’s loving it. Buffy is a great young pup and will make for a wonderful companion. She is already spayed and ready to go. If interested in welcoming Buffy to your heart and home, please submit an application online at: www.charlessmithgallhumanesociety.org. Please email our shelter (smithgallhumanesociety@windstream.net) or call our shelter at 706-865-4135 and leave a message to make sure we received your application. All adopters must complete an approval process which involves a reference check with current/recent vet and a brief home visit if located in the immediate area. We do permit out-of-state adoptions. Adopters MUST come to the shelter to transport their new family member home. We do not ship, nor do we transport them to their new homes. Adoption policies and application procedures are detailed at the shelter website: http://charlessmithgallhumanesociety.org/ under tab All Adoptable Animals. Charles Smithgall Humane Society (CSHS) is a No kill shelter. Animals in our care remain safe with us until adopted. Resident animals are either owner relinquished rescued from area Animal Controls or high kill shelters. The facility usually operates at capacity with a list of animals waiting for space to open.
