Story
This is Zito! Zito is a 10-year-old, male, Rat Terrier mix who weighs 15 lbs. This little man came to us after being picked up as a stray. Zito is a friendly, outgoing fellow who enjoys walks. He’s got a ton of pep in his step! He also enjoys sitting on volunteers’ laps and receiving gentle pets. Zito has exhibited some signs of resource guarding, especially when he gets overly excited around toys. He is also sometimes sensitive to being touched on his hind quarters. We did give him a bath and he did fine, though, so he is generally okay with being touched and even carried. Because of the resource guarding, Zito would do best in a home with adults and older, responsible children (12+) who understand dog body language. Zito lived with another dog, so he’d be open to meeting other canine friends if you have them in your home. He can also be cat tested. Apply for Zito at lvpeaceablekingdom.info! LOWER ADOPTION/TRANSPORT FEE $250 Imagine, if you can, a country girl version of Paris Hilton, and that would be OUR gal Paris! At only 6 months of age, she's blonde, a slim 35 pounds, and has long legs and beautiful eyes. Instead of strutting the catwalk, she's running through the woods and checking out nature. Paris is very approachable and loves everyone she meets, (humans and canines), so she'd happily pose for a photo and autograph. She would easily settle in to family or single life, but be advised that her lovely face and sweet personality may attract a lot of attention. (RM, 6/13/2024) LOWER ADOPTION/TRANSPORT FEE $250**It is rare that we know with certainty the ages or mixes that make up our dogs, but we do our best to be as accurate as possible based upon our experience. ** Adoption fee: $395 covers quarantine, shots, worming, medical records, spaying/neutering, microchip, and an Alabama State Health Certificate. Transport, if needed, is $160. We consider the transport to be of great importance and, as such, take particular care of the dogs during the trip. We make every effort to arrive with healthy and minimally stressed dogs. Adoption fees for Hope dogs and those who have been at rescue for prolonged amounts of time are reduced to $150 plus a $100 transport fee, as notated in their listings.November 13, 2024, 3:08 pm

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Penny! Penny is about 5 years old and 10 pounds. She is housetrained, crate trained and gets along with other dogs but no cats please for this cutie. This little girl loves to run, play and is great on a leash and in the car.  Penny was picked up as a stray in South Jersey. Sadly, her family never came looking for her. When Penny was found, her right rear leg had already been removed. She hasn't shared with us what happened and that's OK because that part of her life is behind her, and it certainly doesn't hinder her in any way.  Look at her run and play here: https://www.facebook.com/711622587/videos/pcb.10164002676812588/4236660883244925 This little girl is ready to start a new chapter, one with a family that will love her FURever! Children in her new home should be 10 years old or older please. Penny is spayed, current on her shots and is microchipped. If interested, please fill out an application at njshpetrescue.org  Please NOTE- You MUST live within 90 minutes of Chester, NJ to apply. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 11, 2024, 2:17 pm
