CARTER is a friendly outgoing little boy looking for a new home. He's some type of terrier mix, maybe some rat terrier or smooth fox terrier, who knows? Carter is a sweet cuddly guy, around 6 years old and fully grown at 27 pounds. He has a wonderful disposition. Carter loves meeting new people and socializing with other dogs. He's housebroken, crate trained and quiet. Carter has some environmental allergies which are controlled with medication. If you would like to meet Carter, please fill out a dog adoption application at dreamhouserscue.org. We are happy to arrange a private meet with an approved adopter. You can meet Carter at our weekly adoption event, Saturday noon-2 at PetSmart Eastgate. All of our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care. Our adoption fee covers the dog’s veterinary care, including spay/neuter surgery, vaccines, microchip, deworming, flea and tick prevention, heartworm prevention and any other needed veterinary care. A deposit is required to take a dog home for a trial period. The deposit will be applied to the dog’s final adoption fee.
