Story
CARTER is a friendly outgoing little boy looking for a new home. He's some type of terrier mix, maybe some rat terrier or smooth fox terrier, who knows? Carter is a sweet cuddly guy, around 6 years old and fully grown at 27 pounds. He has a wonderful disposition. Carter loves meeting new people and socializing with other dogs. He's housebroken, crate trained and quiet. Carter has some environmental allergies which are controlled with medication. If you would like to meet Carter, please fill out a dog adoption application at dreamhouserscue.org. We are happy to arrange a private meet with an approved adopter. You can meet Carter at our weekly adoption event, Saturday noon-2 at PetSmart Eastgate. All of our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care. Our adoption fee covers the dog’s veterinary care, including spay/neuter surgery, vaccines, microchip, deworming, flea and tick prevention, heartworm prevention and any other needed veterinary care. A deposit is required to take a dog home for a trial period. The deposit will be applied to the dog’s final adoption fee. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 4, 2024, 9:26 am

Story
Sofie is a very loving couch buddy.  She is happiest if she can be held all of the time. She has a young spirit and is learning how to play and be a dog after a bad living situation prior to the rescue.   Sofie loves car rides!  Due to her background, she may do best eating separate of other dogs.  She currently eats with her foster pack, but may have the occasional guard response.

Story
Name:  Daisy Age: Spunky Senior Weight: 14 lbs Adoption Fee: $250.00 Good with Dogs?  Yes, but bossy so she’d be best as an only dog.  Good with cats?  She can be bossy with them so it’s best she doesn’t live with them. She can be around them safely for short visits.    Miss Daisy aka Daisy Dukes or Dukes, is  looking for her forever home.    She’s a spunky senior Rat Terrier with lots of life and  love left to give. Daisy loves people and she’d be a  perfect fit for someone who is retired but still active, or someone who works from home, enjoys daily walks  and would like to have a companion to join them. If  she gets to be a lap dog, even better. In a perfect  world, she’ll be showered with all of the attention and  not have to share it with other pets.    She is crate trained but, in all honesty, she doesn’t  love it. Daisy is fine being left loose in the home when  no one is there but she’s currently crated in her foster  home as she does tend to be a little bossy with the  other dogs at times.    Daisy likes meeting new people and enjoys car rides,  so if you like to go camping or travel around in an RV,  she’d be a great companion for you.    While she is an older girl, you wouldn’t know it by the  way she acts. She’s had a senior blood panel done  (she looks great!), a dental, she’s spayed, vaccinated, heartworm tested  and micro chipped.    Don’t miss out on a wonderful new companion and get  your applications in now.    Adoption Process: Step 1:     Complete a "no obligation" application located on our website at pawprintsnky.com under the applications tab. Step 2:     PawPrints will review the application, verifying Vet and personal references as well as landlord requirements/restrictions (if applicable) Step 3:     IF your application is approved, we will call you to schedule a meet and greet for you to meet the pet. &#226&#128&#139Step 4:    If the meet and greet goes well, we will schedule the home visit.          November 14, 2024, 10:20 am

Story
Are you looking for a 17 lb dog that is a big time cuddler and loves to play fetch?! Mira is your girl! Mira does not discriminate! She likes dogs, cats, and kids! Mira may be initially shy with adults but don't take it to heart- she will get over her shyness with a little bit of patience then will shower you with those cuddles just mentioned! Mira shows you she is excited by jumping but responds well to corrections. She walks well on a leash and goes in her crate with treats and sleeps all night! But beware! Mira thinks shoes are chewy toys and would benefit from some basic training. Mira would love to share a home with a fur friend so bonus points if you can give her a new bestie!! Mira's adoption fee is $310. If Mira seems like the right fit for you, please go to www.pawpatroldayton.com/adopt. Mira is UTD on vaccines, spayed, and microchipped. All of our animals are vaccinated, micro-chipped and spayed/neutered before being adopted.
