Story
Violet is a sweet girl who came to New Rattitude as a stray. She is likely around 13 years old with an adorable face and a healthy weight of 13 lbs. She has mild arthritis in her back legs, but that doesn't deter her from walking or jogging around her fenced-in backyard for extensive periods of time. She walks extremely well on a leash and loves nothing better than to be outdoors! She is house-trained and sleeps in her bed at night, next to her foster parents.Violet's personality and socialization skills are blossoming slowly but surely with each passing week.  Although she enjoys being around her human companions, but she has not yet decided whether she wants to be a 'lap dog.' She doesn't mind being picked up and eagerly greets you at the door, tail wagging away. She gets along well with her three canine siblings, though she's still unsure about playing with them. She is friendly when new people or pet sitters come to the house. She tentative with stairs, but definitely improving! We think Violet was born partially or mostly deaf. She can hear very loud noises likes hands clapping and dogs barking, but she does not respond to less intense sounds, including human voices. Curiously, perhaps because of her hearing deficit, Violet does not bark! If she wants to get your attention or if she gets excited, she will 'speak' by yawning loudly or yelping. She also has mild cataracts in both eyes, but her vision is fine. She does need a prescription ointment placed in each eye once per day for the rest of her life (about $65/month). Violet is a very special lady looking for her loving home with you. For more photos of her, please visit https://imageevent.com/newrattitude/violetv.Our adoption fee is $200 for adult dogs or $250 for puppies under 6 months old. Story
Hello. I found Max 6 months ago on PetFinder. He lived in Louisiana and was brought to me thru a pet transit company. He jumped out of the van into my arms, and I fell in love. Max is very loveable, funny and full of energy. My problem is the chemistry between my other dog, Bowie. They cuddle often but they also fight and one day, one of them might get hurt. Max is potty trained and is a great cuddler in bed, should you wish to sleep with your critter. He will make you laugh and entertain you with his endless antics. He is up to date on all his shots, on heart worm medicine (Interceptor Plus), chases after balls, has a slight hop in his back leg which the Vet is not concerned about, and overall, in very good health. He is not a barker but if he hears a sound outside in the middle of the night, he will bark. I have a collar, leash and harness for him as well as a 3 month supply of heartworm medicine. His Vet is Capeside Animal Hospital.
