Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Bandit is an adorable mix of chihuahua, rat terrier and perhaps min pin (best guesses) who is looking for a new home. Bandit is now in a NJ foster home. Bandit came from a home with two other dogs - all 3 were surrendered together. Bandit loves having a fenced in yard to run around in and sniff after the critters.  Bandit can be fearful which results in leash reactivity outdoors as well as reactivity to new people indoors - this is a work in progress. He is dog friendly and really enjoys a doggie companion but needs a slow intro to new dogs especially bigger dogs. We think Bandit's ideal home would have an older, more confident doggie sibling. Bandit is a sweet guy who just needs patience to warm up and an experienced person or family who will continue his training to help with his fearfulness. Bandit is fixed, microchipped and up to date on rabies, DHPP and Bordetella vaccines. His adoption fee is $450.   How to Adopt Me! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Peter is an adorable boy who is looking for a home. Peter is now in a NJ foster home. Peter, Paul and Mary were found "down yellow bayou" by one of the volunteers for our partner rescue so of course they took them in. These small pups were likely dumped. We think they are mixes of rat terrier, dachshund and maybe beagle. They are estimated to be 10-12 months old. They are dog friendly and kid friendly and we think they will do fine with cats but we are double checking. They are crate trained and almost housebroken. Peter is fixed, up to date on vaccines. Peter tested positive for  heartworm and has begun treatment. We are looking for a foster to complete his treatment here in NJ with 2 visits to Barnegat Animal Clinic in mid March. His adoption fee will be $450.  Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training   prior to adoption. After all these dogs have been through they deserve a loving, committed home. How to Adopt Me! You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Birdie is a beautiful girl who is looking for a home. Birdie is now in a NJ foster home. Birdie was left in a home when her owners moved away. Several other dogs were left behind too and several died from this abandonment. Birdie is a special girl. Once she loves you, she is a velcro girl!  Birdie is fixed, up to date on vaccines and tested negative for heartworm. Her adoption fee is $450.  Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training   prior to adoption.
