Story
The Tenn. folks figure that I was born around the beginning of the year and took care of my sister and I, gave us our vaccines and sent us up North so that a better life would be had. I might be a little shy but must came in. My shelter mom knows that I will warm up fast to humans and am already comfortable with other canine friends. I weigh just a hair over 20# which lists me as medium. If you would like to meet me, PLEASE FILL OUT THE APPLICATION on the website of www.4Paws4U4Ever.com under How To Adopt. Thank you

Story
To help us make a great fit for you, and any of our dogs as well, please include information about yourself(Home, family, yard/fence, work hours, other pets...) and/or use our application at sparrowdogs.com. Look out world, Miss Lainey is ready to begin the next(and BEST) chapter of her life!! This precious girl was given up by her previous family to a large shelter. It did not take long for Lainey to become overwhelmed with all the noise and excitement and her behavior soon deteriorated. It is actually very common for dogs to become fearful and defensive in those setting, I think I would as well. But-good news-Lainey recovered very nicely in her foster home. She was a little guarded the first few hours, but after that, the gloves were off and she was in full play mode. She LOVES to run and play with the other dogs and is quite athletic. Lainey also is a pro at snuggling, one of her favorite past times. If there is a lap available, well, Lainey is your girl. She is the silliest little thing, she actually smiles. When you are talking to her she will wiggle, sit down and give the goofiest toothy grin, cutest thing ever!! Lainey has been wonderful with the people she has met in her foster home, but we think she will do better in a home with older kids, we have not had her around little ones. We are totally guessing at her breed. We do believe she is a purebred Rat Terrier, but certainly cannot guarantee that. We do know she is adorable, super smart, well mannered and housebroken, sweet, silly and pretty darn awesome. She is looking for a loving and fairly active home where she will not be left alone for long hours. Another dog in the home that is equally as playful would be great, a fenced yard is a huge plus. We adore this spunky little girl and she will go home with plenty of supplies to help her settle into her new home. Her adoption fee is $325. Lainey is 1 year old and about 12 pounds. Story
My name is Capricorn and I am looking for my fur-ever home. I heard that I used to live in a home with several dogs until my owner died. Luckily the volunteers at Almost Home Foundation saved me so I could have a second chance. I am currently in a foster home with two adult humans and two doggie sisters while I wait to be adopted. My foster parents say that I have come a long way. When I first arrived, I was terrified of everything. I don’t know if this was just my way of decompressing or if I am just a naturally nervous dog or perhaps both. But with love, patience, and encouragement, I slowly came out of my shell. I am still nervous but my personality is starting to show, especially when I am out in the backyard. I’m like a totally different dog out there, running around and having fun.In terms of my other qualities, I am dog-friendly and housebroken. I am also crate-trained. In fact, I love my crate. It’s my own little den where I feel safe and comfortable. I am fine being home alone when my foster parents go to work. Just put me in my crate with a Kong toy and a blanket and I’m a happy camper. I am very skittish so children would be too scary for me. Also, an overly busy home with lots of people coming-and-going would be overwhelming, too. I have not been very cuddly with people but I will sometimes let my foster mom pet me. I’m starting to sort of come around to my foster dad but trusting him is still a work-in-progress. I am up-to-date on shots, micro-chipped, heartworm negative, and neutered. I weigh about 14 pounds. I should probably gain a pound or so.In terms of a forever home, I need someone with lots of love and patience to help me learn to trust. I am not a social butterfly that wants to meet everyone. Previous experience with scared/skittish dogs is a plus but not a must. Since I am still figuring out leash-walking, I will also need a secure fenced yard for potty-time. It doesn`t need to be a big yard, just a secure one. Does this sound like you? Do you have room in your heart and home for me? If so, email dogs@almosthomefoundation.org to get in touch with my foster parents.Adoption fee is $320Email: dogs@almosthomefoundation.orgAlmost Home Foundation`s adoption requirements:(1) Be at least 21 years of age;(2) Have the consent of all adults living in the household;(3) Have approval from the residence owner;(4) Have valid ID with current address;(5)

Story
Tula is a wonderful companion who thrives on genuine connection and love. Tula has a lot of love to give and specific needs that make her an ideal companion for the right home. Her comfort with other dogs and her preference for a quieter, adult-only environment are key considerations for anyone looking to adopt her. Her playfulness and intelligence would certainly shine in a home that can provide regular mental stimulation and physical activity, such as teaching her new tricks and enjoying outdoor adventures. For Tula, potential adopters should be prepared to provide a nurturing, attentive setting where she can form strong bonds. Given her discomfort around children, a calm, stable home with one or two adults would likely be ideal. Also, the presence of another playful dog could be a great source of companionship and help her adjust to her new environment more smoothly. It's important to find the right environment for her where she can feel comfortable and happy. Fill out an adoption application to schedule your own private meet and greet with this furry friend. House-trained,
Story
Vino is a loyal and affectionate companion who loves to cuddle and play. He is house-trained and walks well on a leash. He TOYS, treats, chasing after wildlife, hanging out on the balcony, spending time with his foster mom. He may do best in a home without other dogs (although he may do well with some guidance/training for resource guarding). Vino would thrive in a patient home where he can continue to build his confidence,  social skills with dedicated family who will work with him on his training and provide him with plenty of love and attention.   If you think Vino could be the perfect addition to your family, please consider adopting him today. Contact us to schedule a meet and greet and learn more about this sweet boy. Adopt don't shop!
