Small Paul was found running the streets but he is loving his own backyard and sofa time with his foster family now. This little Rat Terrier is just under 20lbs, neutered and up to date on vaccinations. He is completely house trained, and crate trained. Although he might be a little fearful and wary at the first or even second meeting, once you’ve passed his tests with patience and treats, he will greet you with excited stubby tail wags and snuggles on the sofa. He likes to be the first one to approach new friends and will sit at the feel of visitors in the home quietly as he gets comfortable. Small Paul loves nothing more than to spend the day patrolling the backyard, making sure no squirrels, rats or cats have infiltrated the grounds. He is super playful and loves tug of war and lives for walks out in the neighborhood. He is also extremely treat motivated and would love to learn new tricks. He would love to have a retired couple or person who stays at home with him all dogs or perhaps a quiet home with someone who doesn`t have a lot of in and out company. Small Paul will need a home with a securely fenced backyard (a doggie door would be amazing). Definitely no cats, best if no small kids. He has a lot of energy to play and run around, but will cuddle on the sofa and even let you sleep in! Read up on Rat Terriers if you haven’t been around the breed. Story
Hey! I’m Woody, and I’m looking for my Andy! That’s right. I used to have a home and a brother named Buzz Lightyear. Life was pretty good. And then one day, Buzz and I ended up on our own. We stuck together and found food and shelter where we could. It was tough, and people shooed us a lot. Then one day, a nice man came and got us. He took us where we had food and somewhere to sleep...but not much room and not much time in the sunshine. After a little while there, he said we were going to some place called foster. We didn’t know what to think about that, and we were SO nervous, but it’s been great! We got a yard and our own space! And a family! And dog and cat friends! In “foster”, Buzz and I learned to walk on a leash and sleep in a crate. Then after a little while, Buzzy got adopted! He got his own family. I was so happy for him, but now I’m ready for my family to find ME. I’ve gotten neutered and all my shots. I’ve learned to go potty outside and to use a pet door. I LOVE to take myself out. It’s so cool! I’m 24 lbs, and I’ve learned that I like big dogs and little dogs. I love to play, and I make dog friends pretty easily. Cats smell funny, so I sniff them, but that’s about it. I DO have this thing called heartworms, but my foster mom has been helping get rid of them, and she says I don’t have too much more to go! I like car rides, and I ride very politely! I absolutely love to cuddle on the couch with you. I know it’s funny, but I like to have my paws rubbed like a little massage. I settle right down and go to sleep! Kind of embarrassing, but can’t a guy like a little pampering? So that’s my story! I can’t wait to meet you soon! - Woody
