Story
Howdy there! We are Trouble (smaller, pointy ears) and Snap, a bonded pair of older gentleman in search of a proper home in which to spend our golden years. We have spent many years together, and as such, we would really love to find a home for the both of us! We tend to be low energy but curious, we like to follow you around and know what you are up to. We seem to be housebroken and are familiar with sit and down, and we both love to snack on jerky treats. We can be around other animals and think we would do okay with kitties, but we prefer calmer dogs that will respect our space. Do you have enough room in your home and your heart for the both of us? We really hope so! Ask to meet us!

Story
Got her at 9 months old/rescue. She was my wifes dog who took her own life 11 months ago and she's never been fond of men as the person who had her abused her. She's come a long way in the last 8 yrs but sadly I don't have enough time to spend with her.

Story
When it comes to rat terrier charm, handsome Bilbo is the full package! This sociable fellow likes people and will greet them eagerly, although sometimes his initial excitement does lead him to act as frisky and jumpy as a puppy rather than the dignified 9-year-old he actually is. Once he has ushered you into his home, Bilbo may show off how exceptionally bright he is by performing some of his wide repertoire of verbal commands, such as sit, lie down, high five, stay, leave it, heel, out, go to crate, and even play dead! He will bask in your admiration and gladly accept your appreciative belly rubs and bum scratches. He'll also happily chill beside you on the couch and look at you earnestly with his soulful eyes. Bilbo has lovely house manners and reliable house-training so you don't have to worry about him getting into mischief. He will eagerly engage you in a game of tug-of-war or fetch, but he also likes just being a snuggly 30-lb. couch-potato and he is calm when left alone at home. He walks wonderfully on leash, although when he meets other dogs out on walks, he tends to get overexcited and sometimes tries to show dominance. He will soon settle down if the other dog is confident and passive, but nevertheless it will be necessary to arrange an initial meet-and-greet in a neutral location if his potential family has other dogs. Bilbo does have one particular demand for his new home:  that he be given plenty of space during his meal times. If he thinks that someone is too close to his food bowl, he will likely try to bite, and he is particularly uneasy around youngsters, so he would do best in a kid-free home. In a household that can manage that request, Bilbo will prove himself to be a fun-loving, well-adjusted bundle of joy...and your perfect companion! You can see lots more photos of Bilbo at https://imageevent.com/newrattitude/BilboOur adoption fee is $200 for adult dogs or $250 for puppies under 6 months old. Story
Pepper is a charming, affectionate, chihuahua mix -- approximately 6 years-old and weighing about 10 lbs. This poor little girl was picked up as a stray in Charlotte, NC with a broken leg. She was fortunate enough to be rescued by New Rattitude and transferred to a foster in Florida. Pepper went through surgery and six weeks of healing with no running, jumping or playing. She was such a trooper and so very tolerant of her restrictions although she wanted to be playing with the other two dogs in the house. Finally, she has gotten the 'all clear' to return to normal activities and fun!Pepper is very energetic and playful but she is also a champion snuggler and will spend hours on the sofa next to you. Pepper loves to give kisses and would prefer a wonderful companion who is around most of the time. She gets along well with the male dog in our house, but there have been a couple of tiffs with the female dog over food.Pepper loves walks and is still perfecting her leash manners. She doesn't enjoy car rides and prefers to be in a crate when traveling. Overall, Pepper has great house manners and never chews on anything besides her toys and bones. She doesn't try to escape out the doors or over gates. Pepper is a little shadow, following her mom everywhere in the house. She's mostly house-trained. She is crate trained and sleeps though the night in her crate. She's not a digger or climber in the yard, but she does enjoy chasing lizards and squirrels and would love to have a fenced area for exploration and play! Thankfully Pepper's leg has totally healed and she doesn't seem to have any other health issues. She is truly the sweetest little girl and she's ready to find her perfect home. To see some cute pictures of Pepper go to www.ImageEvent.com/newrattitude/Pepper .Our adoption fee is $200 for adult dogs or $250 for puppies under 6 months old.
