NAME:  Ana BREED:  terrier mix SEX:  female COLOR:  white/brown AGE:  5 yrs as of Jan 2024 WEIGHT:  8.5 lbs FOSTERED BY: LOCATED IN: NOTES FROM FOSTER FAMILY: Hello, I'm Ana. I wasn't always a shelter dog. I once lived in a world of magic, where I was a brave guardian of a hidden treasure. My shyness was my strength, keeping me invisible to those unworthy. But one day, a playful, mischievous fairy tricked me into a portal that led me here.  I had an eye injury along the way but made a complete recovery.   I've adapted, using my independence to cope. I'm loyal, and, once comfortable, ready to protect and love whoever adopts me.   I pick and choose my doggy friends but love to play with cats.   I may not guard treasures anymore, but I promise to guard your heart with all my might. I’m mom to the “Fast & Furriest” puppies. They were my world, but they are all on their own paths now.  I'm a bit shy, but once you get to know me, you'll see my sweet side. I love cuddling up for a good nap, feeling the warmth of someone nearby. I'm often found in a quiet corner, enjoying the calm or hanging out with my former housemate Cinder. I've learned to appreciate the simple things, like a gentle pat or a kind word. It's time for me to find a forever home, a place where I can share my sweetness and love. Story
This sweet guy came to us because he was having issues with too many other dogs and children in his last home. He should be the only dog in the house, and it should be a home with no young children. He can be a bit grumpy when overwhelmed with too much. A quiet home where he is the only one getting attention would be ideal. Jack is crate trained, playful, high drive and energy, but extremely out of shape at the moment. We will assess him better and provide an updated behavioral description. For more up to date information on this dog please go to our website @ https://www.playk9rescue.org/adopt-a-dog The adoption fee for this pet covers the cost of care and training which may have been for several weeks or several months depending on the health and training needs. The fee also covers all vet bills during this time to ensure his/her health is improved or maintained and provides you with assurance that this dog has been well cared for while in our possession and evaluated to meet your home's needs. Included in this fee is also life- long training support provided by PLAY! K9 Academy located in Bradenton, FL as well as Life time microchip registration. When you adopt from a local shelter, you may not receive any medical history for this dog nor will you receive any behavioral history. We hope you understand that the minimal adoption fee we are asking is to continue our mission to rescue unwanted herding and working breeds from shelters/owners and get them adopted to their forever home.

Story
Hi there! I’m Pendant, but you can call me Penny – like a shiny little spark of energy that’ll keep you on your toes! I’m all sass, smarts, and snuggles rolled into one. Walking on a leash? Oh, I’m getting the hang of it, but I still get a little sidetracked by, well... everything. I’ll need a dedicated human who’s ready for lots of playtime, positive guidance, and keeping me on track with all my zippy antics. Stick with me, and I’ll bring you laughs, love, and a lifetime of sassy sidekick moments.

Story
Gracie is a sweet rough coat Jack Russell. She is 7, up to date on all vaccines, just had her teeth cleaned and is an overall great family pet. She is not a typical Jack Russell - meaning she would love to stay curled up next to you in bed and never bounces off the walls. Calmest, gentlest, sweetest girl ever. She walks on a leash well and has good manners. The problem we have is that she just is not a fan of being in a multi-dog family and would love to be an only child. She does not like fast movements (such as kids make) and hates loud noises like fireworks and thunder. She would work well with an adult home with a fence where she can be the queen bee. We really hope that we can find a place where Gracie would be loved. This is not a rash decision and our hearts are aching.
