Story
adoption donation : $699 weight 55 lbs  Age  1 year old        Odie is an incredibly sweet and gentle family dog who gets along great with other dogs and currently lives with a cat whom he loves. He also lives with young children and is great with them.                Odie and his siblings were found abandoned in a rural part of Mississippi and one by one were sent to the northeast to loving homes. Odie is doing great in his foster home, but really needs a home of his own, with a yard for him to play in. He would love a home with another dog for company, but as long as someone is around to give him the love and attention he needs, he’d be fine as an only pet.   Odie loves toys and bones and is just a really good boy. He is completely house trained and knows how to sit and stay.  Good    Wags is a struggling 501(c) 3 where one woman in rural Mississippi takes care of about 150 homeless and stray dogs.  Adoption donations are the only source of funding for the rescue. Adoption fee includes the transport from Mississippi, vaccines, microchip and spay and neuter at one of the clinics we use. Rio, Rio Rio! Is a beautiful girl at the perfect size. She weighs about 30 pounds so will fit just about any life style. She is food motivated with a cute happy feet approach to both food and greeting her loved people. She can be timid when meeting new people but if you let her come to you she does well. The same can be said when she meets new humans. Just chill and let her come to you. Sweet Rio has stories to tell... Like how she ended up with 3 toes on one foot, how she isn't real fond of most vets even though they have helped her and about the woman that saved her. She is healthy, up to date on vaccines, spayed and on heartworm prevention. Apply at forrescue.net

Story
Meet Lucky, a super cute 2 year old neutered male rat terrier mix, weighing about 15 lbs! Lucky is a sweet, friendly boy who is good with other dogs, people, and kids. He has not been cat tested, so we are unsure how he would do with cats.  From Lucky's current foster: "Lucky is very friendly, loves everyone and his tail is always wagging, he is housebroken. Likes toys, would be great in apartment as he is quiet, medium energy." He is medically up to date, housebroken, and crate trained. Apply to meet this 100% good boy today! Click HERE for Adoption Application: pawsrescueleague.org/adopt Adoption fees vary based on the dog and are not negotiable. As a small rescue that does not receive government funding or grants, we rely on adoption fees to stay afloat. Adoption fees help cover the following: vaccinations, wellness exams, heartworm/4DX testing, parasite prevention, spay/neuter (age-appropriate), microchipping, transport expenses, and other rescue-related overhead/administrative costs. Paws Rescue League, Inc is an all-inclusive rescue that does NOT only rescue puppies and young, healthy dogs.  We make a point to also rescue seniors, dogs with special needs, moms, and other “less desirable” dogs, knowing that we will likely incur higher veterinary expenses and that these dogs may take longer to get adopted.  As such, an individual adoption fee is not only reimbursing PRL for expenses directly related to that dog, but it is also helping us to continue our mission of taking in dogs that would otherwise be too much of a financial burden to save. We believe that ALL dogs deserve a second chance. Thank you for your support and understanding! ##2313572##

Story
Rio came to us as an owner surrender when his family was losing their home to eviction. He was one of a number of dogs in the home that needed new homes, and we were able to take 3 of them. Rio is a friendly boy who is somewhat timid when he first meets new people or encounters new situations. He warms up quickly! There's no aggression - he's just a little scared at first.\ He loves other dogs and we would like to see him in a home with at least one other dog. He was best friends with a dog in his former home, and seems to love having a canine companion or two. He would be happy to live with children 10 years old or older. Rio is a wonderful boy who will make a great family member!

Story
Ginger is definitely the most sweetest little girl you’ll meet! She weighs approximately 18 lbs and is about 1 year old. She has not had an easy life. She was found roaming the streets, sleeping wherever she could, and getting chased by male dogs. Unfortunately, she didn’t even make it past her first or 2nd heat before she was pregnant. She had 3 beautiful puppies. She spent the first few weeks of their young life providing them shelter and finding food so she could feed them. It wasn’t until they were about 6 weeks when a good Samaritan found her and got her and her puppies safe. We believe the puppies were born around mid October, and they are available for adoption also! 2 females and 1 male – Minnie, Millie and Milo. Ginger is such a doll. She loves to please her people and be around people. A complete lap dog and cuddle bug. Once you start petting her, she will roll on her back to get lots of belly rubs. She doesn’t care where you pet her, as long as you do. She’s SOOO happy. Ginger loves other dogs and gets along with every dog she has met. She was a GREAT mom to her little ones too. She doesn’t mind cats at all (please see video). She completely ignores the cats inside the foster’s home and gives them no mind. She would rather be looking at her humans than anything else. Ginger is leash trained and does great on the leash. Because she has limited house experience, she is learning potty training currently, so she does need a home that understands she is not fully house trained. We do believe it won’t take long to house train her with someone who is consistent and patient. Ginger does great with all ages, children and all people. There is no person she has met she doesn’t just melt into. If you’re looking for a super friendly, very sweet, people pleasing, loyal companion, smart, gentle, lapdog doggy – please consider Ginger today. All of dogs are fixed, heart worm negative, current on vaccinations, current on dewormer, current on preventions, microchipped and given a clean bill of health from a veterinarian prior to adoption. If you are interested in adopting, PLEASE fill out an application at www.pawsitive-impact-animal-rescue.org

Story
Millie, Minnie, and Milo are Ginger’s puppies that are ready for adoption! We don’t know their exact date of birth but we expect around October 20th, 2024 – which would make them about 5 months. Their mom was born outside and fended for herself her whole young life, until she gave birth outside to these 3 beautiful puppies. It wasn’t until they were about 6-7 weeks old that a good Samaritan found them and got them to safety. Until then, they relied solely on their also young mom to find them shelter, food and provide milk for nursing. These puppies only weigh about 17-19 lbs and we don’t believe they will get over 30 lbs full grown given their current age and weight. Their mom, Ginger, who is also available for adoption, is only 18 lbs, we do not know who dad is though. Millie, Minnie and Milo are beautiful merle/tri color puppies that are just such gentle souls, just like their mom. They are not super hyper like most puppies but do love to play. They are just learning what toys are and how to be puppies. They are very smart. They listen well and we know when they find their forever homes and get more one on one attention, they will thrive and show their true potential. Millie, Minnie and Milo LOVE other dogs and would do great with other dogs in the home or without. They would also be fine with cats with proper introductions. They LOVE children and would do wonderful with all ages of children. Quite affectionate when they get to know you (it doesn't take long!) VERY food motivated and will go for all treats. Millie, Minnie and Milo would love to go on adventures, explore new things and be apart of a home that wants to keep them forever. Adoption fee includes current vaccinations, dewormer, current preventions, microchip, and a clean bill of health from a veterinarian prior to adoption. If you’re interested in adopting please fill out an application at www.pawsitive-impact-animal-rescue.org
