Story
Bug is a 1 year old Rat Terrier weighing about 12lbs.  Bug came to us after being found as a stray about 9 months ago in New Mexico.  Nobody came for her and she was set for euthanasia at an overwhelmed shelter.   When Bug came to us we took her to get fixed as we do with every pup before adoption.  The clinic vet identified a murmur in Bugs heart and recommended getting it checked before putting her under.  Our Cardiologist discovered that Bug has a birth defect in her heart.  We have also started to realize that she may have a little bit of neuro irregularities.  She is a unique, adorable little girl to say the least.  Right now there is not much that can be done other than some daily meds she is on.  She is the sweetest girl in the whole world and this heart defect has turned everybody away from giving her a forever family.  She loves to play and snuggle up as close as possible with her foster dad.  Bug's future is uncertain right now.  She may live a looooong happy life, or her life may be cut short due to her heart.  There is no way to tell.  What we do know is that despite Bug being different she deserves all the love and a forever family of her own just like every dog does. If you are interested in adopting this sweetk girl, please fill out our adoption application at brighterdaysdogrescue.com ##2140685##

Story
** If you are interested in adopting Sally, please fill out our adoption application at http://farfels.com/farfels-rescue/adoption-form/ ** Sally is an adorable, friendly, tiny Rat Terrier mix. (We know her photos don't show how cute she really is, and we are working on getting better photos!) Sally is 2 years old, and just 9 lbs. Shockingly, this sweet little girl was found as a stray in Pampa, TX and brought into the shelter. No one ever came to claim her as their own, and now she is in a foster home in Colorado getting a fresh start and waiting to find her perfect forever home. We're so grateful for the efforts of our great Texas rescuers in saving Sally...They could see that she's a gorgeous girl (both inside and out) with a temperament so sweet and kind that they couldn't allow her to be in a compromised situation. Farfel's Rescue was contacted with hopes that we could find a forever home for Sally that is filled with love and respect in dog-crazy Colorado. We were thrilled to hear from our Texas rescue partners and were very excited to welcome this cutie-pie into Farfel's Rescue. We think Sally will do really well with an active and dog-crazy couple or individual that works from a home-based office. She will be thrilled with the companionship and consistency that this type of family provides. Sally is too social a girl to be left alone while her family works full-time outside of the home. With any rescue, moving from a shelter to a foster to an adoptive home can be very confusing. When an adopting family is sensitive to the challenges of change and acclimation for these dog's, the transition is far easier. A home with a very loving and nurturing family that understands that blossoming takes time would be perfect home for this girl. Socialization, pure love and belly rubs is a gift to a dog that is undergoing a life change. Given the time and space, these dogs shine. Farfel's Rescue feels very strongly that every dog deserves the opportunity for formal, positive reinforcement/force-free training. We therefore aren't willing to adopt out to a home that doesn't choose to offer this training opportunity. Farfel's is happy to provide a list of approved positive reinforcement/force-free virtual and in-person trainers in your area. Sally is up to date on her vetting/vaccinations and spayed, to be in line with our commitment to only adopting out healthy dogs. Farfel's Rescue is a fully foster based rescue, and offers a one week trial with every adoption. We feel that this is much more beneficial to not only the dog, but the adopter too. We believe that only getting 20-30 minutes with a dog before deciding on a lifetime commitment is not a fair amount of time to the adopter, or the dog. Therefore we give adopters one week with the dog to assure it is the right fit, and offer a full refund of their adoption fee should it not workout within the week trial. Farfel's Rescue has been doing adoptions this way since 2005 and is thrilled to adopt out ~400 dogs each year. **PLEASE NOTE** If you're truly interested in adopting from us, please be sure to fill out our Farfel's Rescue adoption application. Adoption site applications such as Petfinder and Adoptapet don't provide enough information and therefore aren't useful. Our Farfel's application is the only initial tool that we have to determine a great match for this very deserving dog. We're sorry, but in many cases, we're unable to get back to those that don't submit our Farfel's Rescue adoption application. Thanks very much for choosing rescue.

Story
Ive is a very sweet little girl who will bond quickly and follow you everywhere you go! She is very active but loves to sleep a lot as well. She is great about using the doggy door at her foster home and appears to be completely housebroken. She gets along great with other dogs and everyone she's met, but we haven't tested her with cats (we think she'd be fine). We have taken care of all of her medical needs and all she wants is a soft place to land for the rest of her life. Note: her actual age is unknown as she was transferred from a shelter to our rescue - and was left in the "drop box" at the shelter with no information. She could be 10-12 years.

These pups are in Centennial, Colorado too!
