Story
Penny was pulled from the shelter after she came in as a stray and during her stray hold she gave birth to 4 puppies. The puppies have all found great homes and now it’s Penny’s turn. She was definitely a street dog, running scared and never knowing what it is to have a place to call home. She was VERY scared and unfamiliar with having a safe/indoor home before being rescued. Thankfully her foster mom is experienced and was able to help Penny settle. She is slow to trust but once she is given some patience and love, she bonds and you have a friend for life. She is terrific with other dogs and cats. Kids, fine as long as they are older and able to read her to give her the time and space necessary to help her feel safe and not pressured. She has a fabulous snuggle tooth too!

Please fill out an application to start the process to meet CHIMMY. Meet and greets will be held in TARZANA, CA at his foster’s home. https://pawsitivetailstoremember.forms-db.com/view.php? id=17980 CHIMMY is 7 years old, he weighs 15 lbs and is a neutered Rat Terrier mix who has a gorgeous salt and pepper short-haired coat which will require minimal upkeep is easy care. This adorable little guy is a bundle of joyful energy who loves everyone he meets. Besides being ridiculously cute, this personality-plus fella is easy to walk on leash and knows lots of commands, including sit, down, come, stay & shake. He’s a big fan of running and playing fetch, chase & tug. Chimmy also has an affectionate side, and his previous owner said her favorite thing about him is that he’s “very cuddly and loves to sleep next to someone.” Sadly, Chimmy lost the only home he’s known on 8/13/24. According to his owner intake form, he was adopted by a relative when he was just a puppy, and he was surrendered when his mom went into a nursing home and could not take Chimmy with her. Happily, Chimmy will acclimate well into any family dynamic! Chimmy is small dog and cat friendly (huge bonus); he is neutered, vaccinated snd microchipped and he would love nothing more than a forever family to call his own!

Story
Text or email only for direct contact with rescuer Located in Lancaster Approved for same day adoption (661)609-2186 memeco635@gmail.com Hello I’m Dustin I was surrendered to a high kill shelter in San Bernardino county after my owners were reported for neglect and hoarding. I was kept away from the public for months while I saw each member of my family being taken 1 by 1 and never coming back, I know they were being killed because I was close to a room that smelt like death. I was scared stiff when anyone came close to me because I was just waiting for my time to come where I’d be taken out and never return. Thankfully my life was saved being the last in my cage a transporter decided I was going to go to this rescuer who couldn’t say no if she saw me so I was loaded up with a few barking dogs and when I arrived I didn’t know what to expect. I would freeze and try to hide if my rescuer came close but she was very patient. I didn’t know what it meant to be a dog but I liked attention from her and especially the treats she’d bring (my favorite is the whipped cream can!) when she comes home I get excited and give he small licks than I retreat because that’s all I really know, I love other dogs and I look to them for guidance on how to react to certain things. I love other dogs, both large and small and I like cats and don’t aggravate them, but I have developed a bit of a pray-drive with rodents and caught my first rat a couple weeks ago I ancestors would be proud because that is what I was bred to be. I would do best in a home with people who are patient and loving and would give me time to open up my heart to trust people once again. I really hope I find my forever home soon, I am a very sweet dog who just needs time and love so if you think this sounds like you please reach out to my rescuer, her information is listed directly above my story. schedule a time to meet me because I am approved for same-day adoption and my rescuer will provide a lot of transition tips and acclamation guides to help you and I better understand each other in our journey to becoming family, I look forward to hearing from you!
