Story
Beautiful Mina is looking for her happily ever after. She is a 3-year-old, 16-pound, Rat Terrier/ Chihuahua/Corgi mix? Mina was 5 days away from delivering her 8 puppies when she was left on our front porch. Thankfully she was able to give birth in comfort in a loving foster home. FOSTERING SAVES LIVES! Her puppies are now weaned and it is her turn to go to her forever home. Mina is a very sweet girl and is enjoying life at the sanctuary. She loves to sit on the lobby bench and people watch. She will put her paws on your lap, for permission to jump up. She is BOSSY with other dogs and is best suited to a one dog home She is ready to “GO” when she sees you get your keys! She does not like being left alone and would do best in a home where someone is with her most of the time. She is well behaved and a great travel size, she will be welcome wherever you go! Mina is doing well going outside to potty but may need some reinforcement with housetraining. She may need leash training. She needs a securely fenced yard as she is a climber. Mina is scheduled to be spayed but we are looking for her home now. She is current on vaccinations and microchipped. If you are ready to fill your home with happiness and joy, Mina has a tail that wags nonstop! Apply today! Here is a list of things that should help us answer you in a more timely manner. 1. When you apply please always use the same email address. If we need to look something up later and you used a different email we are often not able to find it. 2. Adopt a Pet and Petfinders ask you to send us an enquiry. This always delays our response. (Why) a. Our biographies are always very detailed. Therefore sending an enquiry asking us to repeat what it says in the biography causes a lot more work and delays our response. b. We are a small non-profit and do not always have the help to answer as many enquiries as we get. c. Again our Biographies are very detailed and if you just click the link near the bottom of their bio you can fill out an application which we will respond to. 3. For the AFC website (scroll down to the bio at the bottom it says (apply to adopt today- click that link) www.animalfriendsconnect.org 4. For Petfinders ( scroll down to the biography then click the adoption link) http://animalfriendsconnect.org/adoption-application-dogs/ 5. For Adopt a Pet (scroll way down past “Ask about me”) you will see the biography and underneath that will be the adoption questionnaire link. Story
Meet Jodie, a sweet dog with a mind of her own. She's an independent soul who likes to explore her surroundings, often revealing her smart and curious nature. Despite her independence, Jodie has a shy side, preferring quiet corners and peaceful moments. She's quick to pick up new tricks and commands, showing her intelligence in subtle ways. Jodie's curious nature means she's always ready for an adventure, whether it's a new walking route or a different toy. She's the perfect companion for someone who appreciates a dog with a strong personality and a gentle soul. Adopt Jodie, and you'll gain a loyal friend who will keep you on your toes, surprise you with her smarts, and warm your heart with her shy affection. Jodie can be nervous in new situations so we are requiring that she go to an adult-only home with a loving family who understands her needs. We recommend that her new family is experienced with dog ownership so they can help her transition into her new home. She is selective of the other dogs she shares her space with, so we will be requiring dog introductions for potential adopters who already have a canine companion at home to see if Jodie and her new friend will be a good match.Adoption Price: $200Monthly Promotion Applies
