Story
Recently, my elderly mother, unexpectedly passed away leaving two loyal companions in need of a new, loving environment. Bacon, has been a cherished member of her family for many years, providing unconditional love and companionship. Given the sudden circumstances, we are seeking compassionate individuals or families who would be willing to open their hearts and homes to Bacon. She is house-trained and accustomed to the company of humans and other dogs and is a sweet lap dog. It is our utmost priority to ensure a seamless transition for these dogs and to find them a safe haven where they can continue to thrive. Your support during this challenging time is deeply appreciated. Thank you for considering the welfare of these dogs and for any assistance you can provide.

Story
Here’s your chance to get lucky!  My name is Chewy and I am a fun, cute, intelligent, dog. I enjoy chilling out in the big backyard at my foster home.  I can play with toys, chase my foster siblings around and take afternoon sun naps.  I love the company of other dogs but I'm not sure about cats.  I am smart too. My foster mom says I am quick to pick up new commands and tricks.  At 5 years old I have left my puppy antics behind but still have plenty of energy for adventures with my new forever family.  My wish list for my forever home is a nice safe place with folks who will take me on walks (I excel on a leash). I also love to snuggle and give kisses.  I am very friendly when I meet new people. I am house trained to use a doggy door into an outdoor, enclosed potty area. Chewy is neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. His adoption fee of $350 helps offset the rescue's medical expenses. If you live in the Phoenix metro area and think he could be the right fit for you, please complete an adoption application*:  helpadogsmile.org/adoption-application *Please note that the application is not a commitment to adopt–it is a tool used to help determine if a dog and applicant would make a good match. Applications are forwarded to the foster family for review and follow-up. November 20, 2024, 12:13 am

Story
Meet Edmond, an adorable 15-lb, 5-month-old mini something mix who is ready to find his forever home! I am sort of like a mini cattle dog!  Background: Edmond was found as a stray with his brother, Felix. Can you believe two tiny sweethearts survived alone on the streets in the middle of summer?  Personality: Edmond is a bundle of joy! He is a curious guy who likes to explore. He loves to play with toys and other dogs before napping in his foster parent’s lap.   Health: Edmond has been dewormed, neutered, microchipped and received his bordetella and first set of distemper/parvo vaccines. Our rescue will pay for his remaining puppy shots.  Training: As a young puppy, Edmond is still learning the ropes. He is working on potty training in his foster home but will need continued training.  Ideal Home: Edmond would thrive in just about any kind of home where he can get plenty of love and attention. He would do well with a family that has the time to continue his training and socialization. Edmond gets along well with other dogs and would enjoy having a furry sibling to play with.  Adoption Requirements: His adoption fee of $350 helps offset the cost of medical expenses as outlined above. If you live in the Phoenix metro area and think she could be the right fit for you, please complete an adoption application*: helpadogsmile.org/adoption-application  *Please note that the application is not a commitment to adopt–it is a tool used to help determine if a dog and applicant would make a good match.
