Story
Imagine, if you can, a country girl version of Paris Hilton, and that would be OUR gal Paris! At only 6 months of age, she's blonde, a slim 35 pounds, and has long legs and beautiful eyes. Instead of strutting the catwalk, she's running through the woods and checking out nature. Paris is very approachable and loves everyone she meets, (humans and canines), so she'd happily pose for a photo and autograph. She would easily settle in to family or single life, but be advised that her lovely face and sweet personality may attract a lot of attention. (RM, 6/13/2024)**It is rare that we know with certainty the ages or mixes that make up our dogs, but we do our best to be as accurate as possible based upon our experience. ** Adoption fee: $395 covers quarantine, shots, worming, medical records, spaying/neutering, microchip, and an Alabama State Health Certificate. Transport, if needed, is $160. We consider the transport to be of great importance and, as such, take particular care of the dogs during the trip. We make every effort to arrive with healthy and minimally stressed dogs. Adoption fees for Hope dogs and those who have been at rescue for prolonged amounts of time are reduced to $150 plus a $100 transport fee, as notated in their listings.November 1, 2024, 9:22 pm

Story
Hi, I'm Annie! I'm an 8 month old cutie and I can be a bit bashful, but that's just because I love to flirt! I'm pint size, just perfect for cuddling in a lap! I didn't have nice human friends before I came to the Ark, but now that I'm here I love spending time with my new volunteer friends. I'm learning how much I like playing with people and going for walks as I learn how to walk on a leash like a pro! When I arrived at the Ark, we played the 'guess what breed I am' game, and the most guesses were that I'm a Terrier but I know that's just a guess - I know what I am, I'm a Purebred Mix-Breed!! **Ark Rescue dogs are available for adoption to homes in the Alabama and Tennessee Valley area only. We do require a secure fenced-in yard to adopt our larger dogs.

These pups are in Guntersville, Alabama too!

Story
Little Poe was dumped and ended up at the shelter on 10/1/24 in a rough condition. The good news is that once he entered the shelter, treatment was started and he’s now doing great. Poe is a terrier mix, about 6 months old and a small/medium size with weight around 18 pounds. Poe had mange but is no longer contagious and is healing well. He will regrow his coat and will be perfectly, and utterly, handsome. He loves to be silly and play, play and play some more. He adores other dogs and anyone who looks in his direction. Poe needs someone who will be patient with his appearance for a couple more weeks. He will need someone who is prepared for puppy fun and energy. Poe needs someone to show him what love is all about. Come meet little Poe at Guntersville Animal Hospital at 1609 Henry St, Guntersville. Mon-Fri 7:30-5:30 and Sat 7:30-12. Call 256-582-3184 for more info. Adoption fee includes DAPP, rabies, wellness exam, dewormer and his neuter.
