PLEASE READ: If you are interested in meeting and/or adopting, please apply online at www.catdogfriendrescue.com. Please do NOT call or send inquiries via Adopt A Pet or PetFinder as we are a small rescue and cannot handle a large influx of inquiries and phone calls. You can email us at acatsfriendinc@gmail.com if you have questions, but if you would like to be considered for adoption, you must fill out an application. Please note if you are applying for a kitten under six months of age, you must have another friendly kitty in the home or adopt another kitten. Additionally, unless otherwise indicted that this animal is a purebred, all of our animals are rescues and the "breed" selection is a best guess based on their apperance as we have no way of knowing their specific breeds.  Out of state adoptions (outside Virginia/DC/Maryland) do require three years of excellent past or current veterinary references. We look forward to hearing from you!  Adoption Fee includes spay/neuter and microchip insertion. ##2213404##

Story
Lulu is a purebred white and gray Ragdoll (long hair, green eyes), she's 4 years old and spayed. She's a 100% indoors cat, she's chill and patient with children and gets along with other cats (at least with the one she lives with, who's another Ragdoll) and is used to birds. We have chickens too, but she does not interact with them. To be completely transparent: we are rehoming her because over the past few months she's developed a habit of pooping on our thick rugs and we haven't been able to retrain her. I understand this could be a no-go for many people (it is for us), but she might break out of this bad habit in a new home. Lulu is not up to her vaccines right now because she's completely indoors (and so is her companion), but I could take her for her shots before rehoming her. She has her pedigree papers.

Story
These two sweeties were adopted 7 years ago at an adoption event. The family was excited and many joined us at the adoption event, including one of our children & spouse, and 2 grandkids. The cats are incredibly sweet, and so soft. Unfortunately, as the cats have matured they have developed some behavior problems. One of the cats has litterbox problems, and we're not sure which one. They poop in assorted places when we're not looking, and we have not been able to remedy it thus far. Annie has developed anxiety and hides a lot. We have tried Feliway Happy Cat diffusers so far, but to no avail. We really wanted to keep our dear cats for their whole lives. We are dealing with some health issues and no longer able to provide the amount of care and litterbox cleaning needed to care for them. We hope the next owner will be able to work with the cats to lessen or isolate the litterbox problems. They are sweet and lovable but do have problems. We are hoping!!

Story
Meet Calliope and Jolie Calliope is a purebred Ragdoll that came to us with Rex a year ago. She is now 5.5 years old. She is shy, but a total sweetheart. She is going to have another dental upon return as she, unfortunately, has stomatitis that is still bothering her. Jolie is a shy, but sweet girl at almost 3 years old. She came to us in 2022, pregnant with 4 babies. Sadly only 1 baby made it. Jolie and Calliope were adopted together and while they have very docile personalities, they have teamed up against their even more docile housemate.
