Story
Pico was one of a pair of feral kittens. Although he has become friendly, his brother was not and keeping them together did not promote trust in Pico. He loves breakfast time and will come running for his wet meal of the day. He is a pretty blue color and has the coat type and white boots of a Ragdoll although his breed is unknown. His adoption fee is $95. Expect an adjustment period for this baby in a new home.

Story
Meet Chloe! Chloe is a seven year old purebred blue mitted ragdoll with the sweetest personality. She loves to cuddle and she loves attention and affection. She does take a little while to come around, but she is a doll. She would be fine as an only cat or with other cats. If you are interested in adopting her, please email us at merlinshoperagdollrescue@gmail.com for an application. She is in a foster home in Ennis, Texas. Her adoption fee is $350. Sorry, we do not ship our cats or provide any transportation. All potential adopters should reside in Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, New Mexico, or Louisiana. We will not adopt outside of those states. Who We Are: We are a private rescue and privately funded. WE ARE NOT A SHELTER, BUT A RESCUE. A rescue is a PRIVATE HOME and not a public place to visit. All of our cats are spayed/neutered, FIV/FELV tested, wormed, de-fleaed, and vaccinated prior to adoption. All cats are considered mixed breeds unless otherwise stated. As a rescue, we often don’t know a cat’s origins, and do our best to guesstimate their breed. This is not a guarantee. We do get purebreds from time to time and that will be stated in their description if known. Adoption Process: We require all potential adopters to fill out an adoption application. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks during the application approval process. If you email us at merlinshoperagdollrescue@gmail.com, we will provide you with an application via email. YOUNG CAT COMPANION POLICY: Unless otherwise indicated, all cats under the age of 3 must go into a home with another cat/kitten under the age of three or be adopted with a buddy. Ragdolls and Maine Coons are physically slow to mature, benefit greatly from the social interactions with another cat and often long for the companionship. Obviously, some young adults not raised around other cats or with more independent personalities may be exceptions to those rules, but that is up to the discretion of the Rescue to assess that need and is not negotiable. Occasionally special prices are made for buddy adoptions.

Story
This is a very sweet cat that showed up on our porch a few months ago. We took her to the vet to get checked out. She is healthy and spayed. Doc thinks she was a catch and release because she has a little tattoo like a shelter would have done. Also thinks she's 9-12 months old. We got her shots and they are now up to date with one last booster needed for leukemia. She is super snuggly and loves to cuddle and get chin scratches. She is not food aggressive but does tend to overeat, likely due to her food insecurity as a stray. With regular food availability, though, she seems to be doing better with that. We sadly cannot keep her. We already have 2 cats which is the limit in our lease. Plus one of our cats really doesn't like her and tries to fight with her. She gets along well with our other cat. We have been calling her Chloe. She is small, 8-9 lbs, and she will make someone a wonderful loving pet. I hate to see her living outside, especially in the TX heat. Needs a home.

Story
We welcomed Stormi into our lives when she was just 3 months old. She will be 6 years old in August! We are hoping to find her a home with lots of joy and love. Stormi does sleep most of the day or sits on the window ledge. She loves to eat and she is very vocal about that. She also enjoys sitting outside on the patio. Shes an overall sweet, smart girl. Im not sure how she is with other animals, but with kids- she is pretty good although a bit standoffish.

Story
Winston is a great and playful cat. He is extremely love able once he’s used to you. He will spend all day sitting in your lap if you’ll let him but he doesn’t like to be picked up. Winston has had some behavioral issues since my son was born and I think he is just not meant to be in a house with children. He is also very anxious when leaving the house so vet visits can be stressful for him. Winston would be a perfect fit for a cat lover that is home a lot but doesn’t have children or too many other pets. He might be ok with other cats but I don’t think he would do well with dogs. I hate to put him up for adoption but he seems to be really unhappy with a toddler running around.
