Story
Elsa and her sister came to us, from a TNR event, as a 4 month old kitten. She was very shy and fearful at first but has come a long way. Her sister was recently adopted and Elsa is ready to find a loving home as well. She will need a patient adopter who understands it will take time for her to bond to a new person. She is very comfortable in her current foster home. Elsa gets along with other cats well, and greets them with head bunts. She has complete trust they will welcome her caresses. She likes pets, giving little fairy kisses, rubbing around people's legs, playing in cat trees, and window-gazing from a warm kitty bed. She has the ability to bond to people as shown by her bond with her foster mom. She is ready to find a purr-manent fur-ever home, hopefully with a cat-friendly big bro or sis kitty to show her the ropes. Elsa has been spayed, microchipped, had her basic shots, and tested negative for FeLV/FIV. She has been deflead and dewormed. She is a gorgeous kitty and will eventually make a great little companion. She is learning new things every day. An application, landlord approval if renting, virtual safety home check, and adoption fee are required. Discount to seniors, military/veterans, and with proof of disability. Elsa is a little sweetheart as soon as she gets to know you. Indoor only. Her dainty little self would not do well outdoors unattended and free-roaming.

Story
Who has a big heart and a big cat safe yard or catio? This is Simon (aka Rebel) who was once a free roaming semi-feral being cared for by a feeder in Eureka. One day he was horribly injured. The injury was a massive bite wound through one of his eyes and into his head. It got infected. Concerned neighbors saw him, bloody and covered in wounds. They posted about him, and with their help two rescues banded together and got him vet care. First, he was treated for the infection. Once recovered, his eye was removed and he was neutered, got his shots and was tested. He tested FIV positive. After recovering from that surgery he is now looking for a soft place to land. He is such an amazing survivor. He submitted to all sorts of medication, confinement and treatments. He is pettable and not aftaid of people. However, he is not a lap cat or a cuddler at this point. The vet thinks he is about 7-8 years old. Is there someone somewhere who would give this miracle boy a safe and soft landing? Additional photos in the comments. Some may difficult for some people to view. Just remember, he lived it, and came through it ?? Simon needs to be the only cat or have maybe one other independent cat that can live harmoniously without becoming a friend. His life has been rough but he has the capacity to bond to his caregiver. He will be truly beautiful once he has completely healed and all his shaved fur grow back. He really cannot return to living on the streets but likes the outdoor atmosphere. He also likes regular food and does best on a feeding schedule. The vet felt he needed to gain 2-3 pounds to be at his best weight. Simon really deserves a place to live out the rest of his life in peace and safety. Adoption fee is negotiable for the right adopter.
