Story
Meet July – A Sweetheart Ready for Her Forever Home! July has traveled a long way from the streets of Mexico to find a new beginning in Canada, and she’s now ready to meet her forever family! This 3-year-old Wheaton terrier mix (about 32 lbs) is a stunning girl with a soft course and cuddly coat – and she so enjoys being brushed. While she is low-shedding, she is not hypoallergenic, so she may not be suitable for allergy sufferers. July is a gentle soul—shy at first but incredibly affectionate once she feels comfortable. Her foster mom describes her as "the perfect dog" because of her sweet nature and loving personality. She adores kisses, will happily jump up for a hug, and enjoys snuggling up at night, sleeping peacefully through the night with her foster mom. July already knows commands like "sit" and "come," understands "no," and has good car manners. She doesn’t need a crate and is well-behaved when left alone with her foster dog sibling—patiently waiting for her foster mom’s return. She thrives in the company of other dogs and would do best in a home with a canine companion. July is still discovering the joy of toys but is already enjoying her meals and some treats. She walks well on a leash and enjoys multiple daily strolls. However, she would not be a candidate for off-leash adventures and will need a secure, fenced yard where she can run and play safely. Her energy level is low to medium, making her a great match for a relaxed but active household. If you’re looking for a loving, affectionate companion, July might be the perfect fit for you! July is truly a gem of a dog, and if you’re looking for endless love, and kisses she might just be your perfect match! Apply today to have this beautiful girl join your family —you won’t be disappointed! July is being fostered in Cobourg. ••••••••• As my foster family gets to know me my profile can change and will be updated accordingly. Check back often for details! An application for me can be found at www.justpaws.ca. Just Paws is located in the Greater Toronto Area of Ontario, Canada. We do not adopt out of province or country. Story
Meet Candy – A Sweetheart Ready for Her Forever Home! Candy has just arrived in Canada after being rescued from the streets of Mexico, thanks to a kind-hearted woman who saw her potential for love and companionship. Now safe and settling into her foster home, this adorable 3-year-old poodle mix (about 12 lbs) is ready to find a forever family to call her own. Candy is adjusting beautifully to her new life. Her foster dad describes her as gentle, cuddly, and incredibly sweet—she’ll even nudge you for more pets! She’s calm, affectionate, and enjoys gentle play. At night, she sleeps peacefully on the bed, happy to be close to her humans. With a low to medium energy level (leaning more toward low), she enjoys her food, some treats, and the simple pleasures of being loved. Candy is doing well with house training. She has learned to go outside—even bravely stepping into the snow for the first time! She now signals when she needs to go out, though she doesn’t stay outside long in the cold. Once the weather warms up, we believe she’ll love having the freedom to explore a backyard. She walks well on a leash and enjoys leisurely strolls, but she’s likely not the hiking type—she prefers a slow, relaxed pace to take in the sights. Candy is friendly with people and dogs. At a recent vet visit, she happily soaked up attention from the staff and remained calm around other dogs. She was even a perfect patient for the vet! This little sweetheart would be an amazing match for a family looking for a gentle, loving companion who enjoys being close by and showering her people with affection. If you’re looking for a loyal, cuddly friend who will fill your home with love, Candy might be the perfect match for you! Candy is being fostered in Scarborough. If you think she’s the one for you, apply today—this adorable girl won’t be waiting long! ••••••••• As my foster family gets to know me my profile can change and will be updated accordingly.
