Location Troy, MO Application at leiashope.org Endora is a little lady and is learning to live in freedom, outside of a puppy mill. She is shy at first but once she warms up, she will politely ask for attention. Endora is a fan of all things soft! She likes to lay in her open door kennel with fluffy blankets and lay in comfy dog beds. She never had such luxuries where she came from and had to sleep on a hard kennel floor. Endora does well with other dogs and is watching them closely and learning how to be a dog and play with others and toys! It won't take long and this cutie will be running around and playing! She just needs time to figure things out. Endora would do best in a home with another young dog to learn from or someone who has mill dog experience. Mill dogs are under socialized and take some time to trust people. They can be easily spooked by items and sounds we take for granted, like a microwave dinging, garbage truck, leashes, TV, etc. Endora's adoption is $500. She is spayed, microchipped, current on vaccines, and on monthly flea and heart worm prevention. Applications at leiashope.org. NOTE: WE ARE A VOLUNTEER RAN ORGANIZATION AND OUR APPLICATION PROCESS CAN TAKE 7-10 BUSINESS DAYS, DEPENDING ON OUR AVAILIBILITY AND YOUR REFERENCES. ALL OF OUR DOGS ARE IN FOSTER HOMES AND NOT AT A CENTRAL LOCATION. AN APPROVED APPLICATION IS REQUIRED BEFORE WE DO MEET AND GREETS. WE DO NOT SHIP OR TRANSPORT DOGS. YOU MUST COME TO THE LOCATION OF THE DOG TO MEET AND ADOPT. Dogs are a commitment for THEIR lifetime. For puppies this could be 15 years. If YOU cannot commit to the lifetime of the DOG, please do not apply. Puppies under 9 months must go to a home where there is someone home frequently (works from home or a partner is home), can adequately socialize and train the puppy, and can keep up with puppy energy!

Story
I got Benji from a Breeder in Indiana through the Puppy Spot at 7 weeks old. He is now 18 months old. Benji does have separation anxiety, but otherwise is a great little guy. I have been assigned back to work in the office and he is not doing well with this transition. Benji needs a home with other dogs or cats. He tolerates kids, but prefers adults. He grew up with my 4 grandkids. A home with another dog would be the best environment for him. He is potty pad trained and does not do well with a crate. He likes going for car rides, but he is an anxious rider. He loves walks and would be best with a yard. He was used to daily walks. Is groomer and boarding friendly. Some more about his anxiety, he will yelp, cry and sometimes scratches at the door, if left alone. He is not destructive to furniture and will calm down after a few minutes. He has a really short hair cut now, but his hair is usually longer.
